A few years ago, only the best of craftsmen knew how to cover metal with glitter. Now it is used everywhere. Typically, glitter paints are composed of a suspension of pigments and film-forming agents mixed with fine glitter in bulk. The coating method involves spraying dry glitter onto the varnish layer using a specially designed device.
Before coating the surface with glitters, a layer of clear varnish is applied to the already painted surface and, while the applied varnish layer is still wet, the glitters are applied using the device. As stated, the glitter particles are applied very quickly and very accurately, minor flaws when spraying glitter on the surface are easily corrected.
Hexagonal glitter is the optimal particle shape for spraying through a spray gun nozzle. When painting surfaces, glitter is used with a particle size of 0.05 mm to 2.5 mm, various types and colors of glitter particles.
