With the newly released Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4x4. This much anticipated option offers the expedition and adventure traveller a new platform to consider, as well as opening up a new realm of possibilities for the weekend warrior looking to get a little further off the beaten path.

with a 4x4 high only or a 4x4 high/low configuration in both the 144-inch and 170-inch wheelbase models. The 4x4 option offers a 35/65 front-to-rear power ratio while the optional low-range adds a 40% gear reduction, with a corresponding increase of torque to the wheels. Being a relatively low cost increase, the majority of buyers will choose the high/low option.

with the highest performance power-train option currently offered in the U.S. Sprinter: the 3.0-liter BlueTec V-6, which produces 188 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The van is raised 4.3 inches in the front and 3.1 inches in the back giving it 20-percent greater slope climbing ability.

Sportsmobile is now accepting Sprinter 4x4 orders for delivery next year.
