Donald Trump’s Nomination Is A Farce And A Sham

Donald Trump

Donald Trump

Tuesday night the clown show that is the Trump Convention continued in its clownishness as #ResignPriebus and the RNC went into full Trump Protection Racket mode to ensure that Trump was coronated tonight with as little opposition as possible.

The most egregious example of the RNC and Priebus protecting Trump came when THEY awarded all 40 of Utah’s delegates to Donald Trump, a guy who got a whopping 14% of the vote in Utah back in March. All of Utah’s delegates are supposed to be for Ted Cruz, who won Utah’s primary in a landslide.

Next Priebus and company did the exact same thing with Washington DC’s 19 delegates. They were supposed to go 10 Rubio, 9 Kasich and the Districts delegate on the Rules Committee was assured that that was want would happen tonight. Instead of honoring the vote, the RNC pulled a fast one on the DC delegation and gave Trump all 19 delegates, delegates he did not earn.

If that protectionism of Trump wasn’t enough the RNC also monkey’d around with Alaska’s delegation and once again Priebus and crew awarded ALL 28 delegates to Trump, when he was only supposed to get 11, Ted Cruz was to get 12, and Marco Rubio 5.

Even the Iowa delegation got in on the act as the states GOP chairman and his team did what they promised they’d do in June and gave all 30 of Iowa’s delegates to Trump, despite the fact that Ted Cruz won the Iowa caucuses and many of Iowa’s delegates were very openly #NeverTrump.

Ever Since Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich dropped out of the race following the Indiana primary Donald Trump’s been virtually guaranteed getting the 1,237 delegates needed to be the GOP presidential nominee, barring any freeing of the delegates to vote their conscience; an effort Priebus and the RNC insured wouldn’t happen at both the rules committee last week and again Monday when they refused to allow a roll call vote on the rules.

Thus, Trump doesn’t need any protecting, especially not tonight.

But, protect Trump they did.

And in doing so everyone involved in the Trump Protection Racket has helped to make this 2016 GOP Convention and Trump’s nomination a farce and a sham.

Rest In Peace Republican Party. Just like the Phoenix, out of the ashes of this dumpster fire of a primary process something new, something conservative is going to rise.

Obamacare “Fix” Criticism Gets D.C. Insurance Commissioner Canned

943487_10152858596750515_2004321361_nThe first commandment of Democrats is, Thou shall not criticize his holiness Barack Obama.

The insurance commissioner for the nations capitol broke that commandment this week when he was critical of President Obama’s “Fix” of Obamacare and was promptly canned.

Breitbart has more:

William P. White, the D.C. insurance commissioner, told the Washington Post that D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray’s top deputies said Gray “wants to go in a different direction” after White was one of the first commissioners to push back against Obama’s “fix.”

Though White said he was not told that he was specifically fired for his criticism, he “said the timing was hard to ignore.” He said that 24 hours after his criticism, he was ‘basically being told, ‘Thanks, but no thanks.’”

Obama, in a Thursday White House press conference, announced an administrative fix that would allow insurance companies to extend plans that they have cancelled for another year. After that press conference, White, according to the Post, said Obama’s “action today undercuts the purpose of the exchanges, including the District’s DC Health Link, by creating exceptions that make it more difficult for them to operate.”

He also said that he concurred with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners’s assessment that Obama’s administrative fix “threatens to undermine the new market, and may lead to higher premiums and market disruptions in 2014 and beyond.”

According to the Post, “White’s statement was removed from the department’s Web site sometime before Friday morning.”

DC Police Get Rough With 1 Million Veteran March Protesters(video)

BWiqRhACUAMSdqI.jpg-large-548x365On Sunday Veterans and Tea Partiers gathered in Washington DC for the 1 million veteran march.  During the protest that went from the national mall and the World War II memorial to the gates of the White House DC metro police in full riot gear got a little rough with the protesters.

Three More Parts Of Obamacare Delayed

1045184_10200777513232678_878926389_nFirst President Obama delayed the employer mandate contained in Obamacare.  Then he waived the verification requirements to receive Obamacare subsides.  Then he and Congress agreed to a deal that would exempt members of Congress and their staffers from the requirements of the law enabling them to get a subsidy of 75%.  More than half of all the deadlines in President Obama’s signature legislation have been blown. And to boot no state exchange is ready to go on October 1st as they were supposed to.

Now three more parts of Obamacare are being delayed or are not ready to go on their initial start-up date.

First up the Spanish language websites of Obamacare that are not ready to go:

The Spanish language version of online exchanges to sign up for healthcare insurance under “Obamacare” will not be ready on October 1 but will be ready “sometime in October,” White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters on Thursday.

“The online portion of it, I believe, will come on sometime in October,” Carney said, noting that Spanish-language information and assistance will be available by telephone in the meantime, starting on October 1.

The second new Obamacare delay is the online exchange for small businesses:

Small businesses seeking to buy health insurance under President Obama’s health care law will have to wait a couple of months before they can complete the process online, administration officials said Thursday in the latest delay of the high-stakes rollout.

New online health insurance markets created by the law for individuals and small businesses are scheduled to open Tuesday. Small- business owners will be able to go online, compare their options and start an application, but they won’t be able to finalize it until sometime in November. That would still allow the firms to get coverage for their employees by Jan. 1.

“We wanted to make sure this was going to work properly and be effective for small businesses,” Gary Cohen, the Health and Human Services Department official overseeing the rollout, said in an interview. “We just felt like taking the additional time to make sure everything was functioning the way we wanted was the right thing to do.”

Delays and pared-back expectations are a standard feature of most big technology rollouts. Although the Obama administration has tried to project an image of efficiency, the small business delay was the second announced in as many days.

And the third Obamacare delay concerns the exchange for the District of Columbia:

As has been the case elsewhere around the country, the Obamacare exchange in Washington, D.C. will not be ready on October 1st.

DC Health Link, the Obamacare exchange in the nation’s capital, announced Wednesday that the online exchange will not be able to make new Medicaid eligibility determinations. It will also not be calculating tax credits for private insurance “due to a high error rate discovered through extensive systems testing.”

According to DC Health Link’s announcement, people seeking those services will be able to create an online account through the exchange, however their initial eligibility will be determined “off-line by experts.”

This monstrosity of a law needs to be defunded, then repealed.

Ridiculous: Marines At D.C. Navy Yard Had Weapons But No Ammo

This is just ridiculous Marines at the Washington D.C. Navy yard had weapons they could have used to stop mass murderer Aaron Alexis and possibly save lives however those Marines didn’t have any ammo!!!(h/t Newsbusters)

Details Emerge Of Who Washington D.C. Navy Yard Shooter Aaron Alexis Was

Suspected DC Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis

Monday morning 34 year old Aaron Alexis, a civilian contractor, used a shotgun(not an AR-15) and pistols he procured on scene to kill 12 people at the Washington D.C. Navy Yard.

As the investigation into why he committed this massacre continues some new details have emerged about him.

The UK Telegraph reports:

Alexis, 34, who was shot dead on Monday after killing 13 people at Washington’s Navy Yard, also carried a .45 handgun tucked in his trousers with no holster “everywhere he went” because he believed people would try to steal his belongings.

He also felt racially discriminated against, and believed he had been financially “screwed” over a contracting job in Japan at the end of last year, friends said. They also said that he was working in a nearby building when the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center went down following the September 11 terrorism attacks.

The addiction to violent video games and guns was at odds with his devout commitment to Buddhism, which saw Alexis spending half the day every Sunday meditating at the Wat Busayadhammvanaram temple in Fort Worth, Texas over a period of several years. He also spent a month in Thailand in April, The Daily Telegraph can disclose.

The Huffington Post reports the following:

U.S. law enforcement officials are telling The Associated Press that the Navy contractor identified as the gunman in the mass shootings at the Washington Navy Yard had been suffering a host of serious mental issues, including paranoia and a sleep disorder. He also had been hearing voices in his head, the officials said.

Aaron Alexis, 34, had been treated since August by the Veterans Administration for his mental problems, the officials said. They spoke on condition of anonymity because the criminal investigation in the case was continuing. The Navy had not declared him mentally unfit, which would have rescinded a security clearance that Alexis had from his earlier time in the Navy Reserves.

Family members told investigators that Alexis was being treated for his mental issues.

And Breitbart reports:

Tuesday, on CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” Michael Ritrovato spoke at length about his friend, suspected Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis. After expressing his condolences to the victims and their families, Ritrovato then expressed his shock over the actions of a man he described as being “like a brother to me” and a “good-natured guy.”

Ritrovato  went on to explain that two of them had a close relationship based in part on their differences, specifically race and politics. Alexis was black, Ritrovato is white. Ritrovato described himself as conservative and Alexis is “more of a liberal type” who supported Barack Obama:

I would say things like, ‘You know, you are my brother from another mother.’ And he would say things like, ‘You’re my Italian mafia guy from New York.’ So we had things we joked about: Aaron wasn’t conservative like I am. He was more of a liberal type; he wasn’t happy with the former [Bush] administration. He was more happy with this [the Obama] administration — as far as presidential administrations.

It is rather evident that Aaron Alexis had mental health problems(paranoia, hearing voices) that should have prohibited him from buying the shotgun in Virginia that he used in the slaughter.  Alexis also shouldn’t have been able to buy a gun anywhere had authorities in Seattle, Dallas/Ft.Worth and Georgia not let his past criminal behavior slip.

We also have a picture of a man with anger issues and had a problem with his employer.

Fox News is reporting that police alerted the Navy about Alexis mental health problems but nothing was done:

A Newport, Rhode Island police sergeant reported Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis to naval station police last month after the suspect told cops he was “hearing voices” through his hotel room wall and that three people were following him and sending vibrations into his body, according to a police report obtained by FoxNews.com.

In the document, the officer said that on August 7, he was sent to a local hotel to check out a suspicious person report involving Alexis, who told him he was a naval contractor and travelled often.

The report said Alexis told the officer that while flying from Virginia to Rhode Island, he got into an argument with someone else at the airport who he believed had sent three people to follow him and keep him awake by talking to him and sending vibrations into his body.

He also said he thought he heard these three people – two black males and a black female–talking to him through a wall of his hotel room and through the walls, floors and ceiling of a hotel on the Navy base.

Update: DC Naval Yard Shooter Arrested In 2004

The apparent gunman in today’s massacre at the Naval Yard in Washington D.C. was arrested in Seattle in 2004 after he shot out the tires of a car.

The AP reports:

The man identified as the shooter in the Washington Navy Yard slayings had been arrested in Seattle in 2004 for shooting out the tires of a parked car in what he described as an anger-fueled “black out.”

Two construction workers building a new home told police that Aaron Alexis walked out of a home next door on May 6, 2004, pulled a pistol from his waistband and fired three shots into the rear tires of their parked car.

Alexis later told police he thought the victims had “disrespected him” and “mocked him” earlier that morning after he discovered that his own vehicle had been tampered with. Alexis also told detectives he didn’t remember firing his weapon until about an hour later, according to the police report.

Seattle police said in a statement Monday that detectives later spoke with Alexis’ father, who told police Alexis had anger management problems associated with PTSD, and had participated in rescue attempts on Sept. 11th, 2001.

12 Killed In Shooting At DC Naval Yard; Deceased Gunman ID’d

130916-navy-yard-shooting-930a.grid-5x2Twelve people were killed early Monday morning at the Washington D.C. Naval Yard when apparent gunman Aaron Alexis opened fire at the Naval Sea Systems Command headquarters.  Alexis, was found dead at the scene.  No motive for this senseless killing has been found as of yet.

Fox News has more:

A gunman suspected in the killing 12 people at a Navy building in Washington Monday morning has been identified as Aaron Alexis, 34, a Navy veteran from New York, Fox News has learned, and police were searching for a second possible suspect in the attack.

Police were initially operating under the theory that Alexis, who was killed at the scene, had two cohorts, although one person being sought was later found and cleared. They were still seeking another man for questioning in the shooting, which broke out just after 8 a.m. at the Naval Sea Systems Command headquarters in southeast Washington.

Many who managed to escape in the early minutes of the episode recalled panic and fear after a shooter opened fire with what is believed to have been an AR-15.

Multiple media outlets(h/t Twitch) are reporting that Aaron Alexis was arrested in 2010 for a misdemeanor charge of discharging a firearm and the Navy is confirming that that arrest prompted them to kick Alexis out of the Navy in 2011.

Mediaite has more on that 2010 weapons discharge charge:

According to the reports, Alexis is a Ft. Worth, Texas, native who recently worked as a civilian contractor in Washington, D.C. An arrest record from Tarrant County in September 2010 shows he was arrested for discharging his weapon.

As NBC reports, a neighbor called police “after hearing a bullet rip through her floor and ceiling. he told police he had been cleaning the weapon when it slipped and accidentally pulled the trigger. they filed the police with the district attorney’s office but charges were never filed.”

As the investigation begins into this act of evil some in the media like MSNBC’s Toure are jumping to the conclusion that this was nothing more than work place violence.

Of course the last incident of work place violence like this was when Maj. Nidal Hasan waged a one man Jihad against his fellow soldiers at Ft. Hood.(Hasan was recently sentenced to death for that rampage.)

While everyone is quick to deny that this could have been an act of terrorism we cannot totally discount it given what Al Qaeda leader Ayman al Zawahiri said on the anniversary on 9/11(h/t Gateway Pundit):

The leader of al-Qaeda has urged his followers to strike inside the US to “bleed America economically”, adding that the United States can be defeated by targeting its economy, according to a message posted on a website frequently used by the group.

“We should bleed America economically by provoking it to continue in its massive expenditure on its security, for the weak point of America is its economy, which has already begun to stagger due to the military and security expenditure,” al-Zawahiri, the successor to Osama bin Laden, said.

Keeping America in such a state of tension and anticipation only required a few disparate attacks “here and there”, he said.

Unions; What Are They Good For: No Wal-Mart For DC, Bonuses For IRS Agents

images-3Unions, they are like a thigh rash that will not go away.  When Unions aren’t busy forcing a business to close down, i.e Hostess, they are out and about at state capitols causing a ruckus and/or mayhem(see Wisconsin 2 years ago and Michigan earlier this year).  If that, and campaigning for Democrats, wasn’t enough Unions and their supporters have pulled off a double whammy in the last day or so that truly boggles the mind.

First of all is the decision of the city council for Washington, DC to impose a $12.50 “living wage” in the city.  While that sounds like a great idea and something easily dreamed up at an Occupy Wall Street event in the city, it is and will have tremendous consequences for all residents of the nation’s capitol.  Because of this move on the part of the city council Wal-Mart, which was planning to open 3 stores in the city and create some 1,800 jobs, is threatening to pull out of the city, not open those new stores, and not employee those 1,800 people.

Business Insider has more:

Wal-Mart has said it will halt plans to open stores in Washington D.C. if the city passes a “living wage” mandate.

A team of Wal-Mart officials, lobbyists, and executives delivered the ultimatum to the D.C. Council yesterday, reports Mike DeBonis at The Washington Post.

The city council is voting on a bill that would require large retailers to pay employees at least $12.50 an hour. The current minimum wage is $8.25.

If the stores opened, the retailer would employ about 1,800 people in the area.

The mandate “would clearly inject unforeseen costs into the equation that will create an uneven playing field and challenge the fiscal health of our planned D.C. stores,” Alex Barron, a Wal-Mart general manager, wrote in a letter to Washington Post.

If that wasn’t bad enough the Union representing employees of the Internal Revenue Service have balked at the idea of not paying them $70 million in bonuses.  Apparently to the IRS Union they deserve to be given bonuses for harassing and targeting millions of Americans based on their political beliefs and asking people unnecessary and inappropriate questions(like the content of prayers).  The IRS Union also thinks they deserve that $70 million in bonuses despite the fact that someone(s) within the IRS illegally gave the confidential tax documents of dozens of groups to outsiders.

Hey, IRS Union morons.  Given what you have done to the Tea Party, 9/12 groups, and many, many others you don’t deserve anything.  No pat on the back.  No gold star.  No being told you’re special.  Nothing, especially a bonus, after this egregious and criminal behavior on your part.

The Daily Caller has more:

due to a union contract Werfel(acting IRS Commissioner) will not be able to successfully halt all bonuses this year. The National Treasury Employees Union, which represents IRS employees, said that bonuses already promised to unionized IRS workers must be paid, because the bonuses represent work done in 2012, before Werfel canceled bonuses.

The IRS was prepared to pay $70 million in employee bonuses, Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley announced in June. As The Daily Caller reported, the IRS employs 201 full-time union representatives, which prompted outrage from lawmakers.

So what are Unions good for?  Apparently killing jobs and making sure government bureaucrats get bonuses they don’t deserve.
