Why I’m Glad I Never Partnered With Steve Bannon And Breitbart

Trumpbart In December of last year this humble little blogger from Northern Illinois had an idea on how to bring more stories from Illinois and Chicago to the nation’s attention and to put a little conservative media pressure on the plethora of corrupt politicians this state is home to.

Working with Mike Flynn, a founding member of Andrew Breitbart’s media empire, and another top blogger/reporter from Illinois we turned that idea into a proposal to create a new Breitbart Chicago bureau; this was coming off of the launches of Breitbart’s London and Jerusalem bureaus.

On no less than three separate occasions during the early months of this year, Breitbart’s leader Steve Bannon, whose since become Donald Trump’s campaign manager, told me he loved the idea and wanted to have further talks about it. Talks that never materialized because Mr. Bannon kept forgetting that the pitch had been made to him and he liked it.

Then the Michelle Fields incident happened and the ensuing exodus of the sites leading conservatives such as Ben Shapiro led me and my partners to walked away from associating this project with Bannon and Breitbart and tried to pull the project off as a standalone entity we were planning on calling “Chicago’s Untouchables”.

Sadly Mike Flynn’s untimely death this Summer from a heart attack was a fatal blow to this project and a tremendous loss for all conservatives.

Needless to say, all these months later, I am glad that plan as originally formulated fell apart.

As we’ve all learned late Monday, during the GOP primaries one of the Democrat Party’s top operatives, and a subject in the recent James O’Keefe “rigging” videos, was working hand in hand with Steve Bannon and others at Breitbart to attack and undermine Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz. Right Scoop and RedState have good pieces on that story.

This follows Steve Bannon’s Breitbart pushing the birther nonsense against Ted Cruz, going wall to wall against Paul Ryan in his primary, giving a platform to the pond scum known as Roger Stone, throwing Michelle Fields under the bus, and the multitude of other things that have made people rightfully refer to the once vaunted Breitbart News as Trumpbart.

As a conservative Tea Party activist committed to fighting bad government and corrupt politicians there is no way in Hell I could work for a “news” outlet that I’d have to investigate and report on.

Taking down corrupt career politicians like Michael Madigan or Illinois’ own Hillary Clinton would have been a lot easier with Breitbart’s name and reach, but not at the expense of having everyone else I would have been working with trying to eat our own in order to advance Nationalist Populism, protectionist trade policy(which caused the Great Depression), and the Alt-Right white supremacists.

I weep for what Steve Bannon and his band of cronies have done to Andrew’s name, legacy, and reputation, all in the name of advancing the most flawed GOP candidate/nominee EVER.

Kinzinger: Ludicrous For Ted Cruz Not To Endorse Trump During Convention Speech

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Appearing on CNN Thursday Illinois RINO congressman Adam Kinzinger said that it was ludicrous for Ted Cruz not to endorse Donald Trump during his convention speech Wednesday night simply because he was invited to speak at the convention.

Kinzinger said:

If your invited to speak at the convention though you have to endorse him. I mean this is Donald Trump’s convention. He won the primary fair and square and I thin this was, I was blown away. I think it was ludicrous of Ted Cruz to do it and it’s obviously political posturing for whatever comes next.

That’s kinda rich coming from Donald Trump’s biggest critics, and someone who is still holding out endorsing Trump himself.

Hell Kinzinger spent the rest of the interview pointing out the fallacy of Trump’s comments to the New York Times that he wouldn’t help our NATO allies if they are attacked by Russia and his backing of the purge taking place in Turkey this past week following the failed coup d’etat to oust the Islamo-Fascist Erdogan.

Adam Kinzinger, has never been a fan on conservatives or the Tea Party despite claiming to be both to get elected in 2010, and is constantly aligning with the GOPe and House leadership to oppose the Freedom Caucus, and guys like Sen. Cruz and Sen. Rand Paul when they fight for freedom, liberty, limited government, and try to hold Republicans to their promises, like to repeal and defund Obamacare.

Ted Cruz, is a man of principles, a man of conservative convictions, and he did and said exactly the right things Wednesday.

To call him and his speech ludicrous, is well ludicrous.

Donald Trump’s Nomination Is A Farce And A Sham

Donald Trump

Donald Trump

Tuesday night the clown show that is the Trump Convention continued in its clownishness as #ResignPriebus and the RNC went into full Trump Protection Racket mode to ensure that Trump was coronated tonight with as little opposition as possible.

The most egregious example of the RNC and Priebus protecting Trump came when THEY awarded all 40 of Utah’s delegates to Donald Trump, a guy who got a whopping 14% of the vote in Utah back in March. All of Utah’s delegates are supposed to be for Ted Cruz, who won Utah’s primary in a landslide.

Next Priebus and company did the exact same thing with Washington DC’s 19 delegates. They were supposed to go 10 Rubio, 9 Kasich and the Districts delegate on the Rules Committee was assured that that was want would happen tonight. Instead of honoring the vote, the RNC pulled a fast one on the DC delegation and gave Trump all 19 delegates, delegates he did not earn.

If that protectionism of Trump wasn’t enough the RNC also monkey’d around with Alaska’s delegation and once again Priebus and crew awarded ALL 28 delegates to Trump, when he was only supposed to get 11, Ted Cruz was to get 12, and Marco Rubio 5.

Even the Iowa delegation got in on the act as the states GOP chairman and his team did what they promised they’d do in June and gave all 30 of Iowa’s delegates to Trump, despite the fact that Ted Cruz won the Iowa caucuses and many of Iowa’s delegates were very openly #NeverTrump.

Ever Since Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich dropped out of the race following the Indiana primary Donald Trump’s been virtually guaranteed getting the 1,237 delegates needed to be the GOP presidential nominee, barring any freeing of the delegates to vote their conscience; an effort Priebus and the RNC insured wouldn’t happen at both the rules committee last week and again Monday when they refused to allow a roll call vote on the rules.

Thus, Trump doesn’t need any protecting, especially not tonight.

But, protect Trump they did.

And in doing so everyone involved in the Trump Protection Racket has helped to make this 2016 GOP Convention and Trump’s nomination a farce and a sham.

Rest In Peace Republican Party. Just like the Phoenix, out of the ashes of this dumpster fire of a primary process something new, something conservative is going to rise.

Reince Priebus And The Entire Republican National Committee Need To Resign Over Convention Day 1 Clown Show

Donald Trump

Donald Trump

Today was the first day of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, and the first order of business was for the entire Republican National Committee and Donald Trump supporters to turn it into a clown show, by repeatedly denying a roll call vote on the convention floor over the convention rules.

As RedState has been reporting all day; First the Secretary of the convention went into hiding to keep #NeverTrump forces from filing petitions seeking to force a roll call floor vote on the convention rules.

Then one of Priebus’ underlings, Steve Womack, attempted to rubber stamp the rules that the RNC and Trump’s team forced out of the rules committee late last week with a voice vote.

When it became clear in the ensuing chaos that there was more support for a roll call than rubber stamping, Womack attempted a second voice vote, declaring the Yea’s have it.

Only one problem as the audio and video clearly show, the Nay’s, those wanting a roll call, were in the majority(at least vocally).

From there things ended up back at the petition to force a roll call vote, where CNN’s Dana Bash reported Trump and RNC officials twisted the arms of state delegations backing the roll call vote forcing 3 states to drop out(as the RNC puts it), leaving the roll call forces 1 state short of the number needed to press the issue.

All of this led Virginia delegate, and Cruz supporter, Ken Cuccinelli, toss throw down his credentials and storm out of the Quicken Loans arena. Reports are that the Iowa, Colorado, and Virginia delegations have all walked out of this clown show.

Reince Priebus, Steve Womack, Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, and the rest of the RNC and Trump teams have since the rules committee meet last week been actively working to suppress all possible opposition to Trump nomination just as feverishly as Turkey’s Islamist Fascist Erdogan has been purge his country of opposition.

This clown show of a convention(and its only Monday), the way the RNC and its leadership have been acting and behaving, and the long-standing goon and bully tactics of the Trump campaign team, should be reason enough for every Republican leaning voter to demand that Reince and every one else at the RNC must resign immediately.

If this debacle of a convention continues on its current pace by Thursday night there won’t be a Republican Party; we’ll have the Trumpsters, the GOP establishment, and conservatives all splintering off into their own parties/camps, and there will probably never be any reconciliation in any of our lifetimes.

Congratulations Reince and the RNC, your protectionism of Trump, and Trump himself, is going to kill the GOP long before we ever get to November.

God, deliver us from this hellish nightmare and bless Ted Cruz with the GOP presidential nomination; this country can’t take much more Trump.

Trumponomics Will Cost Me My Job And Yours Too

Donald Trump and his wall of garbage

Donald Trump and his wall of garbage

Tuesday Donald Trump gave a speech outside Pittsburgh on trade and economics.

You don’t need to listen to a word of it to know how terrible it was, all you need do is look at the giant pile/wall of garbage behind him the whole time, that there tells the story.

Trump went on and on and on about tariffs and starting trade wars with the likes of China, while saying virtually nothing about taxes or curtailing the federal governments regulators at the EPA and elsewhere.

This is pretty much how Trump’s whole speech went:

I am going to withdraw the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which has not yet been ratified…I’m going to appoint the toughest and smartest trade negotiators to fight on behalf of American workers…I’m going to direct the Secretary of Commerce to identify every violation of trade agreements a foreign country is currently using to harm our workers. I will then direct all appropriate agencies to use every tool under American and international law to end these abuses…I’m going tell our NAFTA partners that I intend to immediately renegotiate the terms of that agreement to get a better deal for our workers. And I don’t mean just a little bit better, I mean a lot better. If they do not agree to a renegotiation, then I will submit notice under Article 2205 of the NAFTA agreement that America intends to withdraw from the deal…I am going to instruct my Treasury Secretary to label China a currency manipulator. Any country that devalues their currency in order to take advantage of the United States will be met with sharply…I am going to instruct the U.S. Trade Representative to bring trade cases against China, both in this country and at the WTO. China’s unfair subsidy behavior is prohibited by the terms of its entrance to the WTO, and I intend to enforce those rules…If China does not stop its illegal activities, including its theft of American trade secrets, I will use every lawful presidential power to remedy trade disputes, including the application of tariffs

This nation implemented trade and economic policies the likes of which Donald Trump is promoting. They were implemented by a Republican President, who was a businessman, named Herbert Hoover. The result of Hoover’s tariffs and trade wars, which Trump wants to repeat and replicate, created something history knows as The Great Depression.

Should the things Donald Trump wants to do with regards to trade and the economy happen it is a certainty that we will have not just a global recession, like in 2008, but a full-fledged Depression that will be Yuge.

My day job involves grain exports to mainly Southeast Asia(China, Japan, Indonesia, etc). Myself and tens of thousands of other workers all across the country only have our jobs because the Chi-Coms and others buy corn and soybeans from American farmers.

If you start jacking around with tariffs, if you start a trade war with China, one of the first things the Chi-Coms or any other nation will do in retaliation is cut back or cut off their grain purchases. That will have an immediate and negative impact on the whole of the US economy.

Any reduction in trade, any decline in US exports, is going to result in job losses on American farms, at US ports, at the rail yards, truckers will get pick slips, and so to will guys like me who provide third party independent testing for grain. Seed companies will shed workers due to farmers cutting back on their plantings, big Ag companies like CGB, Cargill, and ADM will all lay off people at their export terminals(and more). Just in the Ag related sector alone the job losses from Trump’s trade policies will be enormous.

Now multiply that across every other sector of the economy, personal electronics, automotive, heavy machinery, textiles, etc and you get an economic calamity that will make the 2008 recession look tame.

Delegates to the GOP convention in Cleveland next month, cannot in good conscience allow someone to be their party’s nominee for President who will intentionally put hundreds of thousands(maybe even millions) of average, hard-working, Americans like me out of a job.

Unlike what Trump said Tuesday, you can’t bring my job back from China or Mexico, we have to have trade with those countries, and others, first then guys like me get to have jobs right here in the good old US of A.

The right thing for everyone, and the best thing for my job and tens of thousands of others like it, is for the GOP delegates to revolt against Trump, nominate Ted Cruz instead, and we all move on to beating Hillary in November, and let CONSERVATIVE principles usher in another era of groundbreaking economic growth and expansion just as they did with Ronald Reagan.

Ted Cruz’s Powerful Statement On #Brexit Vote And Rebuke Of Ruling Elites

Sen. Ted Cruz

Sen. Ted Cruz

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who GOP delegates in Cleveland really should nominate for President over Trump, released a statement today on the #Brexit vote to leave the European Union.

This is great stuff:

The results of the ‘Brexit’ referendum should serve as a wake-up call for internationalist bureaucrats from Brussels to Washington, D.C. that some free nations still wish to preserve their national sovereignty. The British people have indicated that they will no longer outsource their future to the EU, and prefer to chart their own path forward. The United States can learn from the referendum and attend to the issues of security, immigration and economic autonomy that drove this historic vote. In addition, we should treat the ‘Brexit’ as an opportunity to forge a closer partnership with our historic friend and ally, including immediately starting negotiations for a targeted US-UK free trade agreement.

To Stop Hillary And Save The Republic A Conservative Coup D’etat Needs To Happen In Cleveland

never-trump-copyHillary Clinton cannot be allowed to become President of the United States.

Protecting the Bill of Rights, growing the economy, defeating the Islamo-Nazis, dealing with the nations nearly $20 trillion national debt and $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities for entitlement programs requires a strong leader.

Defeating the Clinton Crime Family, the liberal media, the unions, and the advocates of amnesty and open borders(plus the pro abort) takes money, organization, grassroots support.

As the evidence is showing it is a tall mountain to climb for Donald Trump to accomplish that all important objective of defeating Hillary.

Internal data from a new CNN poll shows that 48% of Republican voters want someone other than Trump with less than a month to go until the GOP convention in Cleveland.

This comes after reports of how absolutely little money the Trump campaign has, and its complete lack of any fundraising capability.  Making matters worse for Trump is that expenditure reports show he gives a lot of what money his campaign is spending on Trump brand companies and on Trump himself and his family. Yes Trump is paying himself a salary from his campaign to run for President.  It is so bad for Trump that in the month of May Ted Cruz, who dropped out of the race following the Indiana primary at the start of the month, out raised him substantially and still has more cash on hand than Trump does.

It is enough to rekindle the talk Hugh Hewitt started of the delegates and alternate delegates to the convention in some way dumping Trump and selecting someone else.

On Tuesday Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said that delegates should vote their conscience at the convention:

I think historically, not just this year, delegates are and should be able to vote the way they see fit. … We’ll see how things go between now and the convention as to what the next steps are. I’m not going to speculate now only because you all know the situation may change by this afternoon, let alone between now and the convention.

Walker is currently bound to back Ted Cruz at the convention as a Wisconsin delegate due to Cruz’s big win in that state in early April.

Any effort at a coup d’etat at the convention is likely to have a good deal of support given a recent teleconference between delegates and alts opposed to Trump had several hundred members.

Let us not forget that Ted Cruz was sweeping up the delegates prior to his dropping out of the race, meaning that the convention floor is going to be filled with a large number of conservatives and Tea Partiers who would be receptive to any effort that might seek to replace Trump with a much better candidate, like say Ted Cruz.

We know Hillary Clinton as President will be a disaster for our country and would cement the damage done to our Republic by Barack Obama. We also know Donald Trump is Herbert Hoover on steroids. Something called the Great Depression happened in large part because of the policies of Hoover, who was a protectionist like Trump, what will happen if Trump’s trade war with China happens, are we going to have the Yuge Depression coming out of the Obama malaise.

The American people are hurting. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights hang by a thread. The Republic is in grave peril.

For the love of God; delegates please bring sanity back and do whatever it takes to give the Republican Party nomination to Ted Cruz(or some other solid conservative, none of this Bill Kristol garbage, or Mitt Romney talk.)
