Perpetually Offended Liberals Can’t Even Stand A Display Mocking Donald Trump

The perpetually offended liberals who complain about everything from the US flag and national anthem to Halloween costumes are at it yet again; in what maybe their most absurd complaint about something ever.

Over the Halloween weekend during Sycamore, Illinois’ annual Pumpkin Festival a group of libs started protesting and demanding the removal of a 12-17 year olds pumpkin display depicting Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The display, which mocked Trump and his biggest campaign issue of securing the Southern border, featured a pumpkin Trump standing behind a brick wall that said “Made in China”, while 6 gourds dressed with sombreros were placed near the wall along with a pinata, a sign being held by the Trump pumpkin read “I will build a great wall … to keep out the illegal Gourds.”

The Dekalb Daily Chronicle reports that the group of liberals weren’t offended by the Trump display per say, but by the sombrero wearing gourds:

A handful of people with signs protested during the festival. One sign read “Don’t reward hate.”

Jocelyn Santana, of DeKalb, said many people were bothered by the stereotypical portrayal of Hispanic immigrants, regardless of the intent of the boy who made it.

“The depiction of the culture was offensive,” Santana said. “It impacts the growing Latino population in Sycamore and DeKalb.”

Even worse, she said, was that the display received an award.

“The stereotypical message was validated by the award,” Santana said. “That was the larger issue. That’s what we were protesting.”

Some time during the weekend the boy who created the display and his family voluntarily removed the display after talks between the Sycamore Police, the protesters, the boy and his family and the Sycamore Lions Club which puts on the annual festival.

Prior to its removal the Trump display was given 3rd place in the 12-17 yr old age group for “Satire, news, and current events” category.

Mrs. Santana told the Daily Chronicle that she would have been fine with the display if the gourds were left blank, but decorated with the sombreros she and her 4 children felt offended and thus joined with some others to protest next to the display during part of the 5 day long festival.

If liberals and the Social Justice Warrior crowd want to flip out over this, I’d hate to see how they react in the coming weeks when Thanksgiving displays start popping up all over the country.

As the great Mark Levin has said for years Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Belvidere Jeep Vehicle Production Moving To Mexico

Chrysler-1Fiat-Chrysler has announced that its Jeep vehicle production which has been done at its Belvidere plant will be moved to a factory in Mexico the Chicago Tribune reports.

Fiat-Chrysler’s CEO  Sergio Marchionne says that moving Jeep SUV production to Mexico will allow it to build other vehicles in Illinois and Michigan and would not have any net impact on its US workforce. In fact with the changes taking place in its production, Fiat-Chrysler believes they will be able to bring back workers at a Michigan plant, who have been laid-off, after the announcement some time ago of the discontinuation of the production of the Chrysler 200. However, other workers elsewhere are going to have to go through some layoffs as certain factories are retooled for the production of newly designed vehicles.

The Belvidere plant will also cease production of the Dodge Dart, as well as the Jeep Patriot and Compass, which are going to be combined into one new SUV model and will be built in Mexico.

Speculation is that Fiat-Chrysler will bring production of the Jeep Cherokee to Belvidere, but that was not confirmed by Marchionne.

Dual US/Mexican Citizen Arrested In Mexico For 2011 Rockford Homicide

 Luis Eduardo Anaya

Luis Eduardo Anaya

Last week Mexican authorities arrested  Luis “Chino” Eduardo Anaya, 26, south of Mexico City for the murder of 23 year old  Brandon Wright in Rockford in 2011.

Anaya is in custody in Houston, Texas awaiting extradition back to Rockford to face multiple felony charges related to Wright’s death.

Anaya appears to be an “anchor baby” as he has both US and Mexican citizenship.

Police believe that Anaya got into an argument of some kind with Wright in November 2011 at a bar on the cities east side.  After leaving the bar police claim Anaya followed Wright on Perryville Rd. and then fired at him as he turned at the intersection with Linden Rd.  Wright then crashed his vehicle and subsequently died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Winnebago County Sheriff Gary Caruana said at a press conference Tuesday:

“They were in a bar, they got into a discussion, a heated discussion,” Caruana said. “They left, (Anaya) followed him and as they were headed south on Perryville, Brandon turned onto Linden and Luis Anaya took a shot at him, at that intersection, and hit him in the head and killed him.”

Anaya was charged with first degree murder in the days immediately following Wright’s murder but was somehow able to leave the state and eventually the country and hide out in Mexico for nearly 4 years before he was apprehended by the FBI and Mexican authorities on September 2nd.

Anaya faces 20 years to life for the first degree murder charge in addition to other charges.

Trump In Iowa: Sounds Like A Candidate, Hits On Everyone And Everything

Donald Trump

Donald Trump

Businessman, TV star, and one man brand Donald Trump was in Davenport Thursday morning for a fundraising breakfast for the Scott county GOP and he sure sounds like a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination.

Trump took swipes at just about everyone and everything he could during he speech from potential rivals Jeb Bush and Scott Walker, to immigration, Iran, and the state of the American economy which Trump called sick, Trump even commented on the “thugs” in Baltimore.

Blasting politicians generally Trump said that he could as President get things done because he’s been a do’er and not just a talker who doesn’t accomplish anything.

“If I run, if I win, we will be strong again quickly because I’m not a politician,” he said.  “Politicians are all talk and no action.  They’re never going to get it done.”

The Quad City Times has more on Trumps thoughts on the economy and trade, namely his desire to see high tariffs and other taxes imposed on imported products:

“Right now, we are the big, fat dumb bully that gets beat up,” he said.

Trump said he would bring a tough-minded approach to dealing with other countries — and U.S. firms that want to move manufacturing overseas.

He pointed to Ford’s announcement that it would build a big new auto plant in Mexico and said he would head it off by promising to put a 35 percent tax on each car the automaker tried to send to the U.S.

Trump drew a large crowd for the party’s Lincoln Club fundraiser at the Radisson Quad-City Plaza Hotel, Davenport. And although he gave no new insight into whether he’ll run for president, he did not shrink from making a prediction about his prospects for the job.

“I don’t play games,” he said. “I would make this country great.”

Trump knocked potential Republican rival Jeb Bush for his support of amnesty and Common Core and thought Wisconsin’s economy might be a negative for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.  Trump also thought immigration and the Senates Gang of 8 amnesty could hurt Sen. Marco Rubio who announced he is running for President several weeks ago.

Trump said that he will make an official announcement about his candidacy in June or July.

Rep. Duncan Hunter: 10 ISIS Terrorist Entered US From Mexico

California Republican congressman Duncan Hunter was on with Greta Tuesday night and revealed that 10 terrorist belonging to the genocidal Islamic barbarian horde known as ISIS  have entered the United States from Mexico.

Rep. Duncan Hunter: Obama Fiddles While Sgt. Tahmooressi Sits In Mexican Jail

Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi(USMC)

Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi(USMC)

The following is from California congressman Duncan Hunter and first ran in Breitbart.

In a jail cell in Mexico sits Andrew Tahmooressi, a former Marine Corps Sergeant who served honorably and survived two combat tours in Afghanistan. For almost five months, Andrew has languished in prison for simply taking a wrong turn into Mexico.

In past months, President Obama has found enough time to respond to the proposed deportation of Justin Bieber, talk up the White House beer recipe and offer insights into a wide variety of topics that are comparatively insignificant. His own online petition page collected more than the 120,000 signatures, thereby requiring a response from the White House. But Obama has yet to utter a single word on behalf of Tahmooressi.

As a combat Marine, Andrew saved lives on at least two occasions and survived a roadside bomb blast that destroyed his vehicle and injured himself and others. His promotion to Sergeant came meritoriously and either on the battlefield or off, his commitment to his fellow Marines was unbreakable. In every sense, Andrew was a top-notch.

The alleged crime by no means presents any real shock value: Andrew entered Mexico with three legally owned firearms. He did not conceal the weapons or attempt to mislead Mexican border officials, who happened to deny his initial request to turn around. They confiscated his firearms and the rest of his possessions. That night and into the next day, he endured a period of detention that exceeded the permissible limits, and he was denied the appropriate translation services.

The accusation was that Andrew was trafficking weapons but the facts support a far different version of events. The night he was arrested, Andrew was visiting friends near the border area. He was relatively new to San Diego, California, seeking treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder at the recommendation and instance of friends who lived in the region, which is home to some of the best treatment and care facilities in the country. For area residents, some of whom have lived in San Diego their entire lives, the border is a complicated place, day or night, and wrong turns are quite common.

For whatever reason, Mexican officials violated Andrew’s rights. In fact, my office recovered audio of the 911 phone call Andrew made immediately after he was directed into secondary screening. He tells the dispatcher that he took a wrong turn, that he didn’t intend to enter Mexico and that he presumed turning around was possible. The dispatcher informed him that he missed the turnaround and proceeded to say there was nothing that could be done to help.

The 911 audio is critical to Andrew’s defense, among other key pieces of evidence revealed through several evidentiary hearings. The tape verifies Andrew’s intent not to enter Mexico while other violations, including the prolonged detention and failure to contact U.S. counterparts and provide a suitable translator, invalidate actions on the Mexican side of the border.

Until recently, resolution seemed distant and sometimes uncertain. But new developments in the case could produce a ruling as early as next week thanks in part to a range of legal options that are under serious consideration. The expectation is that Mexico will do the right thing and release Andrew.

Through this entire episode, it is worth noting that Mexico-despite maintaining the belief that its justice system should be given a chance to work-has been relatively direct and open to conversation on Andrew’s detention. Conversely, the President, his Administration and State Department have been silent. And for the most part, any support provided by the State Department has been routine under the circumstances.

A Marine of Andrew’s caliber deserves more from his government. By now, the President and his Administration probably won’t make a difference in Andrew’s case but out of respect to our veterans and our military, the President should try to make an effort at least. Andrew is owed that much from the Commander in Chief he courageously served as U.S. Marine.

Joe Walsh Calls Out Bill O’Reilly For Shameless Self-Promotion In Plight Of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi

Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi(USMC)

Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi(USMC)

Since April 1st Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi has been jailed in Mexico after he got lost near San Diego and mistakenly entered Mexico with all of his belongings in his truck, including three legally owned firearms.

Sgt. Tahmooressi in the last two months has been threatened with death and rape, and had been chained to his bed by all four limbs for a period of weeks by Mexican authorities

On Wednesday Andrew finally got his day in Mexican court and had to fire his State Department suggested attorney after that attorney recommended Andrew lie in court about the incident.  Meanwhile, Andrew continues to wait for a new court date and his freedom.

It is highly possible that President Obama could get Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi freed from that Mexican jail with a simple phone call to the President of Mexico, but as Fox News reported last week this comment from White House spokesman Jay Carney is all that has come from the White House in regards to the plight of Sgt. Tahmooressi.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was asked Wednesday about the case, and whether Obama has talked to his Mexican counterpart about it.

“I’ll have to take the question. I haven’t had that discussion,” Carney said.

Also last week Secretary of State John Kerry was in Mexico meeting with leaders there, and according to the State Department spokeswoman Secretary Kerry “raised the issue” of Sgt. Tahmooressi’s imprisonment.

For weeks Andrew Tahmooressi’s mother has been trying to get as much attention both in the media and from Washington brought to her sons situation.

Since early May former Illinois Republican congressman Joe Walsh, now heard weekdays on AM 560 The Answer in Chicago, has been speaking out daily on behalf on Sgt. Tahmooressi.  Giving updates on his status, speaking with his mother, and directing people to a petition at WhiteHouse.gov set up by Andrew’s mother trying to get President Obama to pay attention to what is happening just across the border to one of his active duty Marines.

It is on that point that on Thursday Joe had to call out Fox News host Bill O’Reilly who this week first mentioned Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi as a plug for the next days show by threatening the Mexican government with some kind of punishment if Sgt. Tahmooressi wasn’t released following that court hearing.  When Andrew wasn’t released Bill O’Reilly took to the airwaves to encourage people to go to his website and sign a petition there that he will have given to the Mexican ambassador in the coming days.

This naturally made Joe Walsh livid.

It is shameful for Bill O’Reilly to use Andrew’s plight when it would be easy for him to know about and to send people to the existing petition effort.  It’s not like he and Greta’s offices are that far apart.

Michael Sam Is Not A Hero; Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi Is

Michael Sam

Michael Sam

Apparently to many out there being drafted near the end of the NFL’s 7th, and last, round from a big college football school that is in one of the four major conferences is enough to make someone a hero.

Since Michael Sam was drafted by the St. Louis Ram’s Saturday the media, social networking sites, heck even smoke signals were all abuzz along the lines of this being the greatest thing to ever happen in the world.

Why?

Why is a young man being drafted to play a professional sport all anyone can talk about?

Well because Michael Sam, who is a guy, happens to like other guys(I mean really really likes other guys).

That is it.

The sole reason anyone knows, let alone cares, about Michael Sam is because he publicly admitted(marketing having absolutely nothing to do with it) that he isn’t attracted to girls.

That should be the end of the story.

But it isn’t.

Because everyone has been so relentless with the whole notion that Michael Sam is a big deal, a bigger deal than the kidnapped Nigerian girls, a bigger deal than the missing airplane(that is still missing according to the latest from CNN), I just have to yell STOP!

Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi(USMC)

Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi(USMC)

There is a story out there that is a lot bigger of a deal than the sexual orientation of someone likely to be cut by the Rams after the first preseason game and that is the tale of Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi who is currently being chained to his bed in a Mexican jail.

Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi is a combat veteran who was recently diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder along with injuries after he survived an IED attack on his military convoy while serving overseas.

On April 1st. Sgt. Tahmooressi was driving along an unmarked part of the US-Mexico border near San Diego with everything he owned in his truck including several firearms.  Due to his injuries Tahmooressi can easily become lost and thus found himself in Mexico unwillingly.

Instead of allowing Andrew to turn around and return to the United States Mexican authorities arrested Sgt. Tahmooressi because of those firearms, which he disclosed and was lawfully in possession of.

Since his arrest over a month ago Sgt. Tahmooressi has been chained to his bed by Mexican authorities who are not considering releasing Andrew back to the US until a hearing at the end of the month.

Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi is a hero in every sense of the word and because of that this country should be doing a Hell of a lot more to help bring him home.

Instead all we are getting is talk and praise and more talk and more praise for a football player fresh out of college that happens to be gay.

Michael Sam got a phone call over the weekend from President Obama, what President Obama should have done was call the President of Mexico and demanded Sgt. Tahmooressi’s immediate release.
