Tea Party Congressional Candidate Gets Dem Vote Rigging Stopped In Illinois

Patrick Harlan

Patrick Harlan

Knox county Tea Party leader and Republican congressional candidate in Illinois’ 17th district Patrick Harlan and the Liberty Justice Center scored a major victory in Federal court to stop Democrat efforts to rig the vote ahead of the November 8th Presidential election.

During the 2014 lame duck session Illinois Democrat Party boss and Speaker of the House Michael Madigan ushered throw a new same day voter registration law that required counties with populations of more than 100,000 to let people register to vote at all polling places on election day. Of the 102 counties in Illinois many have populations well under that threshold, there are several Illinois counties with populations of less than 10,000. Those counties with lower populations only are required to have a central same day registration site under the law.

This obviously allows Democrats to maximize their voter turn out and vote totals in Chicago and Cook county in favor of Hillary Clinton and congresswoman Tammy Duckworth who is running for the US Senate.  As Republican statewide office seekers have known for a long time in Illinois it doesn’t matter how Illinois 101 other counties vote, everything is determined by Chicago and Cook county.

On Tuesday Judge Samuel Der-Yeghiayan agreed with arguments made by Harlan(whose is facing Rep. Cheri Bustos) and the Liberty Justice Center that the Madigan same day registration law was unconstitutional and disenfranchised the vote of residents of the states many rural counties.

Yehiayan wrote, “while it may be true that the polling place registration option can assist voters in certain populous counties, that option cannot be provided at the expense of lower population counties, thereby decreasing their political representation in Illinois.

Judge Yehiayan continued, “The application of this legislation favors the urban citizen and dilutes the vote of the rural citizen,” wrote Der-Yeghiayan, who added, “Illinois is made up of more than the Chicago metropolitan area and other high population areas. Equality under the law does not end at the city limits.”

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan(Speaker Madigan’s daughter) has said that she will appeal the ruling.

Jacob Huebert of the Liberty Justice Center said in a press release,

Today the court recognized the unfairness of guaranteeing a voting right to some voters but not others. The court ruled that if Illinois is going to have Election Day voter registration at polling places, it should be available statewide – and it should be fair. The government shouldn’t make it harder for people in some parts of the state to register and vote. If Illinois wants to provide Election Day voter registration at the polls, it can do so in a way that’s fair and equal. Six other states, including Illinois’ neighbors Wisconsin and Iowa, give all of their citizens the right to register and vote at their local polling places; they don’t favor voters in some counties over voters in other counties. We’re pleased the court affirmed that everyone has right to the same opportunity to vote.”

As it stands the ruling gives Gov. Bruce Rauner and his allies better chances of picking up a few seats in the state legislature; any GOP gains would end Speaker Madigan’s veto-proof super-majority.  The ruling is not likely to help Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, who was in the Chicagoland area Wednesday, much as Hillary Clinton is still widely expected to win the heavily blue state, although her margin of victory is probably going to be diminished due to the courts actions. This court order might also be the only thing that can save Sen. Mark Kirk’s bacon.

Congresswoman Bustos has had no comment on the court ruling, although she will probably fire off a bunch of fundraising emails about it; she has more than $2 million in the bank, Patrick Harlan’s campaign is broke(donate here).

Voters across Illinois owe Patrick Harlan and the Liberty Justice Center a huge debt of gratitude for taking a small bite out of the Madigan machine and for making it a little easier to have fair(er) elections this November.

Adam Kinzinger, Mark Kirk, Donald Trump You Are Unworthy Of My Vote Nov 8th

never-trump-copyPrinciples.

What is a principled conservative voter; living in Illinois, to do the 2nd Tuesday in November?

Do we settle the top socket, bottom socket debate by answering both?

Do we take a road trip to the Panama Canal?

Or do we break down like so many have and pull the voting lever for someone just because they say they have a R next to their name?

Our principles; the belief in limited government, major tax reform, fiscal responsibility, the full repeal of every word of Obamacare, deference to the Constitution, respect for the rule of law(i.e no amnesty), matter only if we stay true to them during the darkest of hours.

For politicians getting my vote requires that you have to share some of those same principles.

To use a pop culture analogy my vote is Mjolnir, if you want to lift me, aka get my vote, you have to be worthy.

If principles, if our convictions, are to be cast aside whimsically just to placate one candidate or group of them, then our vote goes from being iconic like Mjolnir to being a cheap disposable Power Rangers prop.

No there will be no axes that look like they came off the leg of a plastic table here.

My principles are strong, my faith in them unwavering.

While the Cult of Trump may have booed Ted Cruz when he said it voting my conscience means I’m going to have to do the following on November 8th.

When it comes to voting for the House of Representatives my principles, my consciences, my sense of who is worthy, clearly tells me that I cannot cast a vote for congressman Adam Kinzinger.  The man is a major backer of amnesty, an interventionist(and a reckless one at that), a yes man for the GOPe and Chamber of Commerce, and leading attack dog against the Tea Party and conservatives.

Now, this is Illinois, my options, for voting against this lying, backstabbing, weasel are limited.  Writing in a candidate, and having that vote counted, for statewide and federal offices is extremely difficult. There is no Democrat opponent on the ballot, not that I’d vote for them, nor is there any libertarian or third party candidate to pick from. So yet again, for the third general election cycle in a row, this conservative is going to be reduced to undervoting his congressional representation.

When it comes to the US Senate, lets just be honest Tammy Duckworth is a radical liberal who is going to win. Her opponent Sen. Mark Kirk, is a liberal Democrat who barely even bothers calling himself a Republican anymore. He backs amnesty, voted to keep Planned Parenthood funded, same for sanctuary cities, backs gun control, keeps saying yes to all of Obama’s bad appointments.

The Libertarian candidate Kenton McMillen, has no prayer of making any major impact in the Duckworth/Kirk race and is still a complete unknown around the state. However, absent another way for protesting this Democrat versus transitioning Democrat general election, I’ll be voting for him because conservative principles and Mark Kirk do not go together.

For Vice President of the United States I’ll be voting for the one conservative that will actually be on the ballot this year. The successful Governor of Indiana, Mike Pence.

For President of the United States, I will not be voting for his running mate.

As my good friend Joe Walsh said last week, Hillary Clinton is going to win Illinois no matter what.  This is a deep dark blue state and any Trump supporter who thinks he has a chance here has deluded themselves. Illinois’ 20 Electoral College votes can already be put into Hillary Clinton’s column.

I wish this election was playing out differently, with a different GOP candidate who could keep the fight on Hillary and the left day in and day out and not spend 4/5th’s of the week on defense over his own stupid comments and liberal policies.

I can’t vote for someone whose trade policies came right out of the book How the Great Depression Started. I can’t vote for someone whose first instinct is to say yes when his daughter wants to create a new federal government entitlement. I can’t vote for someone who wants to expand existing entitlements. I can’t vote for someone who believes that slanderous drivel of the National Enquirer as if it were true. I also can’t vote for someone who doesn’t understand that Vladimir Putin and the Russians are bad guys.

My first instinct is to write-in Giant Meteor for President, so we can just start over.

I’d like to write-in Ted Cruz, because he’s a true principled conservative that would make a great leader for this country.

I’d settle for writing-in Hulk Hogan. If we are going to make this a celebrity/pop culture election, why not at least do it with a red and yellow boa and cool patriotic theme music.

Unfortunately, that pesky Illinois doesn’t like to let, let alone count, write-in votes/candidates, is going to get in the way of me doing that so I’m left with voting for the fake Libertarian as my only option for saying no to a process that produced a candidate choice so horrible.

Adam Kinzinger, Mark Kirk, Donald Trump you are unworthy of my vote.

Sen. Kirk To Write-in Gen. David Petraeus For President

Sen.Mark Kirk(R-IL)

Sen.Mark Kirk(R-IL)

Last week during an interview on Chicago radio Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk said that he would write-in Gen. David Petraeus for President instead of voting for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.

Last month Kirk unendorsed Trump after his comments about a federal Judge of Mexican ancestry.

Petraeus, the architect of the surge strategy in Iraq, and former head of the CIA under President Obama, is a heck of a lot better option than what some others have suggested.

With Kirk’s obvious mental problems resulting from his stroke, we should all be thankful he didn’t get the idea to push Tammy Duckworth for POTUS.

Kirk And Kinzinger Meet Trump In DC, And It Went As Badly As You Imagined

Donald Trump

Donald Trump

So Donald Trump was in meetings today with House and Senate Republicans at the RNC HQ in DC.

The meeting went as badly as you would expect given how many people in the GOP actively dislike Trump with a passion, and how many want to dump him at the convention for Ted Cruz.

Here’s how things went in the House meeting which included Trump’s biggest critic in the House our very own RINO Adam Kinzinger(from the Dekalb Daily Chronicle):

Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, an outspoken Trump critic, said there was a lack of energy in the room. “You could feel it,” he said.

“I’m not a Never Trump guy, I’ve said I want to get there. I’m a Republican and I want to support the nominee,” Kinzinger said after leaving the meeting early. “But things like the Saddam Hussein comment are not helping me get there,” Kinzinger added.

He was referring to Trump having praised the late Iraqi dictator’s terrorist-killing prowess. Trump defended himself over those comments Thursday, telling lawmakers it was an example of the media twisting his words, according to Rep. Kevin Cramer of North Dakota, a strong Trump supporter.

Things got a lot more testy between Trump and Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk during his meeting with Senate Republicans which Kirk skipped, as Trump called Kirk a “loser”(From Illinois Review):

Trump also called out Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) — who withdrew his endorsement of Trump last month, citing the business mogul’s racially based attacks on a federal judge — and said he did not approve of the senator’s action, the officials said.

Characterizing Kirk as a loser, Trump vowed that he would carry Illinois in the general election even though the state traditionally has been solidly Democratic in presidential contests. Kirk did not attend the meeting with Trump.

Asked later in the day about Trump’s comments, Kirk declined to comment other than to say: “I guess he lit me up.”

Later Kirk went farther and called Trump and privileged bully, from Quad Cities Times:

Republican Sen. Mark Kirk of Illinois says Donald Trump is an “Eastern, privileged, wealthy bully.”

Trump called Kirk, one of the more vulnerable GOP incumbents, a loser at the closed-door meeting with Senate Republicans on Capitol Hill on Thursday. Kirk did not attend meeting, but The Washington Post described the presidential candidate’s comments.

Asked about them later, Kirk told The Associated Press: “I’ve run for election six times in Illinois. Really tough races for the Congress and for the Senate and won every race. Otherwise I wouldn’t be here.”

On why Trump would say Kirk would lose: “I guess the bully side of him. We haven’t seen a personality like his too much in the Midwest. Eastern, privileged, wealthy bully. Our bullies are made of better stuff in Illinois. We’re much more practical and polite.”

“I think I’m not on the Christmas card list now,” added Kirk.

At this same meeting Trump also got into it with Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake. Eventually Trump said he wouldn’t help Flake in his reelection and wanted to see him defeated. One problem their smart guy John McCain’s running for reelection, not Flake. Although both do deserve to lose.

Yeah can we just go ahead and nominate Ted Cruz in Cleveland already and be done with this disaster of a candidate.

IL Family Action Takes Issue With Kinzinger’s Bromance With Sen. Kirk

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Last week Illinois Family Action, part of the Illinois Family Institute, ran a piece from Laurie Higgins where they took issue with Illinois RINO congressman Adam Kinzinger’s bromance with Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk.

Kinzinger won’t back Trump, but does want everyone to support Kirk’s losing reelection bid.

Kinzinger says he agrees “100 percent” with Paul Ryan’s decision to be outspoken “when Trump says things that violate his conscience, violate our party,” and that speaking out is an honorable thing to do.

Kinzinger threatens that if Trump “wants to say that we can basically throw away [Republicans] that have dedicated a good part of their lives to bringing forward a Republican view, he’ll do that at his own peril.”

Kinzinger says that if the vote were held today, he would not vote for Trump.

Now, if only Kinzinger would take a principled and bold public stance like that on taradiddler U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Illinois) who has proven himself unworthy of any elected office, who has said things that violate the consciences of many Republicans, who has violated party principles, and who “has basically thrown away Republicans who have dedicated a good part of their lives to bringing forward a Republican view” of marriage and the intrinsic value of all human lives.

Rest here.

Lawsuit Against Duckworth Settled For $26,000

Rep. Tammy Duckworth(D-IL)

Rep. Tammy Duckworth(D-IL)

On Friday a workplace retaliation lawsuit against Illinois Democrat congresswoman Tammy Duckworth, who is the Democrat Party nominee for US Senate against Mark Kirk, was settled with the two employees of a Veterans home getting $26,000 for court fees and legal costs.

The case was set to go to trial in the weeks ahead of the November election.

Duckworth’s campaign said:

Today’s resolution is appropriate for what was always a frivolous workplace case that dragged on over eight years and was dismissed in whole or in part multiple times, and Tammy appreciates the hard work and professionalism of the lawyers in the Attorney General’s office,” Matt McGrath, Duckworth’s deputy campaign manager said in a statement.

Duckworth had been sued by the two workers for retaliating against them by firing one and giving a bad review to the other when they raised complaints about the head of the Veterans facility that they worked. Duckworth was appointed head of the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs by Blago in 2006.

She was represented in the case by the Illinois Attorney Generals office headed by Lisa Madigan, daughter of Speaker Michael Madigan who drew the congressional maps that allowed Duckworth to defeat Tea Party congressman Joe Walsh in 2012.

Sen. Mark Kirk is the most endangered incumbent in the country, and is a lame duck walking.

Could We See Adam Kinzinger Vs. Dick Durbin In 2020

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

During an interview with AM 1230 WJBC Monday Illinois RINO congressman Adam Kinzinger indicated that he was very open to the idea of challenging Democrat Sen. “Little” Dick Durbin for his Senate seat in 2020 when Durbin is up for reelection.

Kinzinger said of running in 2020 for the Senate, “It would be something I would look at…If I think I can win something and I can make a difference for people and have an impact I’d be open to doing whatever the next thing is.”

With Senate Democrat leader Harry Reid retiring at the end of the year, Durbin will be the #2 Democrat behind New York Sen. Chuck Schumer who is widely expected to be the Democrats new leader.

Kinzinger, who came into Congress as part of the Tea Party wave of 2010, and immediately stabbed them and every conservative in the back, is easily going to win reelection this cycle as the Democrats in the 16th CD have yet to field any candidate, not that it would matter, the district is safely and solidly Republican.

Several weeks ago Kinzinger’s name was floated by the Weekly Standards Bill Kristol as a possible third party challenger to Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, CNN reported days later that Kinzinger had openly thought about running as an independent candidate but opted against doing so because of logistics.

Well into late last year Illinois GOP establishment leaders and power players where trying to get Sen. Mark Kirk to retire or not seek reelection so that they could run Kinzinger against Democrat congresswoman Tammy Duckworth giving Republicans a fighting chance of keeping Kirk’s Senate seat given Kinzinger’s liberal record(pro amnesty, accepting of same-sex marriage SCOTUS ruling), loyal support to House leadership, constant attacks against conservatives, and military experience; that and he hasn’t had a debilitating stroke.

Mr. 36% Conservative Review score, badly needs to be forced out of the House of Representatives. “Little” Dick Durbin has no business being in the Senate. Getting rid of one by getting rid of the other sounds great, but do we really want Mark Kirk Jr. hanging around Congress 20-30 years?

When Republicans Come For Your 2nd Amendment Right

gunIt is bad enough that the liberals and Utopian Statists have spent every second of every day since the Orlando terrorist attack trying to take away the 2nd amendment rights of Americans, not to mention going after the 4th and 5th amendments as well, but when feckless establishment Republicans, and people who are really just New York City liberal Democrats(like Donald Trump) join in you know it is time to call in an exterminator.

One of the Democrats favorite things to push, aside from a new “assault” weapon ban, is a No Fly No Buy bill that would keep people on the terrorist and no fly lists from being able to purchase a firearm. Illinois lame duck Sen. Mark Kirk, quite possibly the most liberal Republican in the Senate, joined in on the Democrats efforts to deny the 2nd amendment to people like the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, conservative writers, and 6yr old boys and girls who have been placed on the terrorist or no fly lists by mistake.

Illinois congressman Adam Kinzinger last Monday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, just hours after the carnage at the Pulse Night Club had concluded welcomed the idea of Congress debating gun control saying, “We can always have that discussion. I think its good, that’s what the floor of the House of Representatives is for.” Later that same day on Fox News’ Outnumbered program Kinzinger repeated his support of letting Democrats float the curtailing of the Bill of Rights on the House floor saying, “I personally think it is an absolutely reasonable discussion to have.” He also said, “I’m very pro 2nd amendment. I have nothing against having the debate, that’s what Congress is for.”

Okay where is it written that taking away a persons constitutional right(s) is something that absolutely has to be discussed and debated on the House floor?

Is it in some pamphlet No Labels hands out to the new members when they land at Reagan airport?

Fellow Illinois RINO congressman Bob Dold last week came out in support of the Democrats gun control agenda post Orlando telling the Chicago Tribune that he supported the terrorist and no fly list firearm purchase prohibition, and expanded background checks aka the so-called “gun show loophole”.  Dold’s spokesperson also told the Tribune that Dold could be brought around to supporting an assault weapon ban and bans on high-capacity magazines.

With gun grabbing Republicans like these who needs Democrats.

Now does anyone have the number for an exterminator with experience dealing with RINO sized cockroaches?

Kinzinger Weigh In On Trump Mexican Judge Comments, Sen. Kirk’s Refusal To Back Trump

Rep. Adam Kinzinger(R-IL)

Rep. Adam Kinzinger(R-IL)

Wednesday morning Illinois RINO congressman Adam Kinzinger was on 1430 WCMY with host Jay LeSeure and discussed presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump’s attacks on a federal Judge presiding over his Trump University lawsuit and Sen. Mark Kirk’s announcement Tuesday that he “cannot and will not support” Trump’s presidential aspirations.

Kinzinger: Trump made a comment that would be perceived as very racist. It would be like somebody said I don’t trust Kinzinger because he’s a German. Well I’m an American, I happen to be of German ancestry but I’m an American. It was the same thing Trump did with this so called Mexican Judge. He was born in Indiana.

Trump continually talks about how he’s treated unfairly. This is a guy worth hundreds of millions , if not billions of dollars, has his own private jet, casinos, and really has not lived a day in discomfort in his entire life.  I think he’s being treated fairly. There’s a lot of people who don’t have the comforts he has. I think Mark Kirk did the right thing by saying this is not what I believe and its a decision we all have to make in terms of supporting him(Trump) or not.

Its not just automatic, I’m an American before I’m a Republican. When you hear some of the things he’s said about the Judge you have to see some humility, you have to see some leadership qualities in a guy who wants to do the same job as Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan did.

Sen. Mark Kirk: I Cannot And Will Not Support Donald Trump

Sen.Mark Kirk(R-IL)

Sen.Mark Kirk(R-IL)

Tuesday Illinois RINO Sen. Mark Kirk, or his handlers, officially joined #NeverTrump when he released a statement saying the Senator “cannot and will not support” presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Kirk had been rather reluctant to back Trump before the Indiana primary last month when Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich both dropped out of the race, and is putting as much distance between himself and Trump following Trump’s comments about the ethnicity of a federal Judge hearing a class action lawsuit case involving Trump and his now defunct Trump University.

From the Chicago Sun-Times:

“I cannot and will not support my party’s nominee for President regardless of the political impact on my candidacy or the Republican Party,” Kirk said in a statement, in which he also said Trump did not have the temperament to command the U.S. military or take control of nuclear weapons.

“After much consideration, I have concluded that Donald Trump has not demonstrated the temperament necessary to assume the greatest office in the world,” said Kirk, viewed as one of the most vulnerable senators up for re-election in 2016.

Kirk’s campaign team told the Sun-Times that the Senator intends to write-in a presidential candidate.

May I suggest doing what I’m going to do on election day and that is write-in Ted Cruz for President.
