Tea Party Congressional Candidate Gets Dem Vote Rigging Stopped In Illinois

Patrick Harlan

Patrick Harlan

Knox county Tea Party leader and Republican congressional candidate in Illinois’ 17th district Patrick Harlan and the Liberty Justice Center scored a major victory in Federal court to stop Democrat efforts to rig the vote ahead of the November 8th Presidential election.

During the 2014 lame duck session Illinois Democrat Party boss and Speaker of the House Michael Madigan ushered throw a new same day voter registration law that required counties with populations of more than 100,000 to let people register to vote at all polling places on election day. Of the 102 counties in Illinois many have populations well under that threshold, there are several Illinois counties with populations of less than 10,000. Those counties with lower populations only are required to have a central same day registration site under the law.

This obviously allows Democrats to maximize their voter turn out and vote totals in Chicago and Cook county in favor of Hillary Clinton and congresswoman Tammy Duckworth who is running for the US Senate.  As Republican statewide office seekers have known for a long time in Illinois it doesn’t matter how Illinois 101 other counties vote, everything is determined by Chicago and Cook county.

On Tuesday Judge Samuel Der-Yeghiayan agreed with arguments made by Harlan(whose is facing Rep. Cheri Bustos) and the Liberty Justice Center that the Madigan same day registration law was unconstitutional and disenfranchised the vote of residents of the states many rural counties.

Yehiayan wrote, “while it may be true that the polling place registration option can assist voters in certain populous counties, that option cannot be provided at the expense of lower population counties, thereby decreasing their political representation in Illinois.

Judge Yehiayan continued, “The application of this legislation favors the urban citizen and dilutes the vote of the rural citizen,” wrote Der-Yeghiayan, who added, “Illinois is made up of more than the Chicago metropolitan area and other high population areas. Equality under the law does not end at the city limits.”

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan(Speaker Madigan’s daughter) has said that she will appeal the ruling.

Jacob Huebert of the Liberty Justice Center said in a press release,

Today the court recognized the unfairness of guaranteeing a voting right to some voters but not others. The court ruled that if Illinois is going to have Election Day voter registration at polling places, it should be available statewide – and it should be fair. The government shouldn’t make it harder for people in some parts of the state to register and vote. If Illinois wants to provide Election Day voter registration at the polls, it can do so in a way that’s fair and equal. Six other states, including Illinois’ neighbors Wisconsin and Iowa, give all of their citizens the right to register and vote at their local polling places; they don’t favor voters in some counties over voters in other counties. We’re pleased the court affirmed that everyone has right to the same opportunity to vote.”

As it stands the ruling gives Gov. Bruce Rauner and his allies better chances of picking up a few seats in the state legislature; any GOP gains would end Speaker Madigan’s veto-proof super-majority.  The ruling is not likely to help Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, who was in the Chicagoland area Wednesday, much as Hillary Clinton is still widely expected to win the heavily blue state, although her margin of victory is probably going to be diminished due to the courts actions. This court order might also be the only thing that can save Sen. Mark Kirk’s bacon.

Congresswoman Bustos has had no comment on the court ruling, although she will probably fire off a bunch of fundraising emails about it; she has more than $2 million in the bank, Patrick Harlan’s campaign is broke(donate here).

Voters across Illinois owe Patrick Harlan and the Liberty Justice Center a huge debt of gratitude for taking a small bite out of the Madigan machine and for making it a little easier to have fair(er) elections this November.

If I Was In Congress

House Floor

House Floor

If I was in Congress right now instead of Adam Kinzinger or Cheri Bustos, I wouldn’t be trying to pass legislation to regulate airplane seats, or sitting on the House floor pouting about not being able to deny Americans their due process and 2nd amendment rights.

No if I was in Congress right now I’d be filing articles of impeachment against Attorney General Loretta Lynch over her gross misconduct regarding the Clintons.

Speaking of articles of impeachment, such a bill would already be on record to remove Judge Posner from the Appellate court here in Illinois over his remarks recently telling lawyers, Judges, etc to ignore the Constitution, and American history; a clear violation of his oath of office.

With FBI director Comey laying out the evidence that Hillary Clinton violated multiple federal laws with her email set up and handling of classified information and then not recommending her indictment, I’d be getting ready to use my time at his upcoming House hearing to demand his immediate resignation.

After that I’d finish working with Adam Andrzejewski and Open The Books on legislation to curtail the ability to federal agencies to purchase weaponry, and prohibit some from having any at all. I mean what does a federal bureaucrat need with an amphibious assault carrier.

This weekend I’d be happy to be coming home, getting out of the DC swamp, and hold a couple of nice big old Joe Walsh style town hall meetings so me and them can chat about what governmental obstacle they need out of their way to prosper.

That’s what I’d be doing. Something you will never find Adam or Cheri doing.

No they’d rather be Snapchatting about gun control, or going on Fox and CNN constantly to get peppered with questions about Donald Trump.

Kinzinger: Trump Vet Presser UnPresidential, David French Third Party Run Unrealistic

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

During an interview Wednesday on 720 WGN with host Roe Conn Illinois RINO congressman Adam Kinzinger said that Donald Trump’s press conference about his donations to veterans groups following his fundraiser on their behalf in Iowa in January, when he skipped a Fox News debate because Megyn Kelly was a moderator, was unbecoming of a Presidential candidate.

Kinzinger said, “When you have a guy that stand in front of the press and basically calls them names it’s very unbecoming of a presidential candidate.”

Kinzinger also said, “If you turn an entire population against the legitimacy of the press what’s next? What institutions are next to be undermined?

When asked about the possible third party run of National Review writer and Iraq war veteran David French Kinzinger said that such a run was unrealistic. Kinzinger, the one time Illinois co-chair for Jeb Bush, has been a very vocal critic of Donald Trump and is among those Republicans refusing to back him at this point. On Monday CNN ran a story about Kinzinger having contemplated such a third party run himself, and was floated as a possible candidate over the Memorial Day weekend by the Weekly Standards Bill Kristol, but opted against doing so because of the logistics of getting on the ballot.

Kinzinger:(French running?) I guess its possible. The question is to what extent. I think it’s probably unrealistic that David French would get on 48 of 50 ballots, you know two deadlines have passed right now., I think it would be more of a get on the ballot of a handful of states deal. I don’t really know much about him, I’ve read some of his work on National Review, seems like a smart guy, a veteran, something which I obviously very much appreciate. But the idea that he’s going to probably run for President is very unrealistic.

Speaking about recently nominated former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson getting votes as the Libertarian Party candidate Kinzinger said:

A lot of people just can’t bring themselves to vote for Trump or Hillary. Maybe a way out is to vote(for French) and feel like your participating and you know somebody like Gary Johnson will probably get a lot of pick up from that. I can’t support him because I don’t support the Libertarian philosophy on foreign policy, but there’s probably a lot of people that would.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger Wanted To Be The Alternative POTUS Candidate To Trump And Hillary

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

On Saturday The Weekly Standards Bill Kristol, one of the leaders of the #NeverTrump movement, wrote that with higher profile potential candidates like Mitt Romney and Sen. Ben Sasse openly saying no to being an Independent/Third Party challenger to Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton it might be some lesser known congressperson or someone else who would take the challenge to try to defeat both Parties presumptive nominees.

So the alternative to Trump and Clinton could be a not-terribly-well-known but capable congressman like Mike Pompeo or Adam Kinzinger. It could be a respected former senator like Judd Gregg or Mel Martinez. Or the leader of the resistance could turn out to be someone who hasn’t yet held elective office.

On Memorial Day CNN ran a story where Illinois congressman, and big ass RINO, Adam Kinzinger, admitted that he was seriously considering being the #NeverTrump presidential candidate but has decided against running for the highest office in the country due to the logistics of getting on the ballot in all 50 states.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger, a prominent GOP congressman from Illinois and Iraq War veteran, has decided to pass on an independent bid.
Adam Kinzinger, 38 and in his third House term, would have considered mounting an independent bid had the barriers to an independent run not been so daunting. His pondering of the matter reflects ongoing efforts by GOP forces opposed to Trump and Hillary Clinton, the likely Democratic standard-bearer. They have searched feverishly in recent weeks for a candidate of stature to make an independent conservative White House bid. But like Kinzinger, no potential candidate has yet bitten.
Kinzinger, previously a prominent surrogate for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, would have undertaken a third party run “literally to save the union,” according to a source familiar with his thinking, because both Clinton and Trump scare him. But Kinzinger does not think the infrastructure exists to get on the ballot in a number of states at this relatively late date.

I want to see both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump lose the November election as much as anyone in the #NeverTrump, #NeverHillary camp, but trying to save the Republican Party, conservatism, and the Nation as a whole, with a lying, backstabbing, fraud like Kinzinger is just plain stupid.

Kinzinger is as bad on amnesty as Hillary, supports the corny capitalism of the Export-Import Bank, agrees with Justice Kennedy’s redefining of the meaning of marriage and opposes any effort to fix what Kennedy did with a constitutional amendment, opposes the Flat Tax, never wanted to defund Obamacare back in 2013, supports the NSA bulk meta data/spying on Americans program, and just last week was one of 43 Republicans in the House to vote for a pro-LGBT amendment to a spending bill.

Even where Kinzinger is good, national security and foreign policy, he’s still terribly rotten.  Supporting the arming of the Syrian Rebels, who turn around and join ISIS or Al Qaeda, supports the US taking out Syria’s Assad, wants a no-fly zone over Syria, etc.

Conservatives, like myself, who can never vote for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, because of who they are, what they stand for(or don’t stand for), and the disastrous things they’d both do to this country and our Republic, want a strong leader, a solid conservative; those are not things that describe Adam Kinzinger.

I know that he will never admit it but at least part of the reason why he had to say no to running for POTUS against Hillary and Trumpertantrum is because this blogs archive is a one stop shop for oppo research on Kinzinger and it’d take a political operative of Trump or Clinton’s 5 minutes to find everything they’d need, substance and policy wise, to bury him.

The only people Adam Kinzinger could get to vote for him as President are the GOP establishment, the Chamber of Commerce and Karl Rove types, and the Warhawks, basically everyone who backed Adam’s preferred candidate Jeb!, and that would be it.

The Bill Kristol’s and other establishment types within #NeverTrump would have been a lot better off had they made it their mission to talk Ted Cruz into being this Independent/Third Party candidate. It would have been even better had they backed Cruz during the primary process so we could still be talking about Cruz winning the GOP nomination outright on a 2nd or 3rd ballot at the convention, instead of mulling over the possibility of an Eric Cantor favored GOPe Yes-man possibly running against Trump and Hillary.

I’ve Never Voted For A Democrat In My Life And I’m Not Going To Start With Trump

RIP-GOPWith things shaking out the way they have since the polls closed Tuesday night we Conservatives, Tea Partiers, Constitutionalist, Patriots, Liberty Lovers, have been left with either voting for a Liberal New York Democrat(Hillary Clinton) or a Liberal New York Democrat that wears more makeup(Donald Trump).

That is the rotten choice we are left with.

Since I’ve been able to vote starting in 2001(I missed being eligible to vote in 2000 by a month) I have always done one thing with consistency, I have never voted for a Democrat.

When left with choosing between a RINO Republican or a Liberal Democrat I’ve always taken a third option. When its come to my congressman Adam Kinzinger, I undervote because that is the only option available.  When it comes to people like Sen. Mark Kirk, who really has no business calling himself a Republican, I write-in candidates or go third party/independent, almost always Libertarian.

When that choice has been between John McCain and Mitt Romney versus Obama, I’ve done what so many of you who are older have done, and held my nose and went with the lesser of two evils.

Not this time.

While McCain was a terrible candidate destined to lose he could at least be supported due to his military record and resolve to continue W’s tough stance in the War on Terror.  Where Romney was the worst possible choice for a nominee because of his drawing of the blueprint for Obamacare, he at least tried to be, act, and sound like a conservative(granted he was awful at it, at least he tried).

Trumpertantrum on the other hand, is going to be terrible for the economy with that whole tariff and trade war with China, and with things like his admittance today that he agrees with Bernie Sanders that the minimum wage should be raised(which will put hundreds of thousands of young people out of jobs and job opportunities).

He’s terrible on foreign policy with that whole get out of NATO unless the Europeans pay us more lunacy.  He’s been all over the map on abortion. Spent the early 90’s attacking the Reagan tax cuts of 1986 on behalf of Democrats. And is a total moron for believing that anything ever written in the National Enquirer is true.

That’s just policy, Trumpertantrum has also got extreme problems getting along with people who don’t put his prostate in their mouths(or up their butts) and do pom-pom routines for him, just ask Megyn Kelly.

For decades we Conservatives, and in recent years the Tea Party, have been working tirelessly to wrest control of the GOP away from the moderate establishment that just wants to be Democrats-lite, and make it a truly Conservative Party.

That isn’t likely to happen now that the Republican Party has been killed off by the Trumpsters and we can thank American Idol for that, damn you Simon Cowell.

So what is a Conservative, a Tea Partier, a Constitutionalist, to do when faced with the reality that the entire Presidential election, and seemingly the whole political system, not to mention the Republican Party have been taken over by the equivalent of a William Hung Cult? Especially when Hung, I mean Trump has said today that he doesn’t want us voting for him anyway.

Well as a subscriber to the whole #NeverTrump thing, voting for a New York Liberal Democrat with a bad hair piece is out of the question.

As I have never voted Democrat, that takes Hillary Clinton out of the equation. Not that she was ever in it, I remember the 90s it was a pretty good decade ruined by two things 1) everyone’s obsession with OJ Simpson and 2) everything Bill and Hillary Clinton.

So do I go Libertarian, which has apparently seen its membership DOUBLE in the last 24 hours, and back Gary Johnson? Not likely.

Do I go with some other third party or independent candidate that may emerge and be pushed by the bigger names in the #NeverTrump camp? Possibly.

Do I go into the voting both and flip everyone the bird and write-in a candidate? That is actually my leading response at this time(not the flipping the bird part). I mean if we are going to turn our elections and political system into Celeb Reality TV then why not at least put forward someone that deserves the Presidency, and is a bigger pop culture icon that Trump, and go with the immortal Hulk Hogan.

In all seriousness I’m going to rectify this how to vote without breaking my no Democrat ever streak by writing-in Ted Cruz this November, and you should too.

Kinzinger: If Hillary Indicted Before Convention Biden Or Kerry Will Be Dem Nominee

Rep. Adam Kinzinger(R-IL)

Rep. Adam Kinzinger(R-IL)

Appearing on Fox & Friends Monday morning Illinois RINO congressman Adam Kinzinger talked about President Obama on Fox News Sunday and his remarks about Hillary Clinton and her email scandal.

Kinzinger said that he thinks the Democrats will swap in either Vice President Joe Biden or Secretary of State John Kerry to be their presidential nominee should Clinton be indicted prior to the convention in July over Bernie Sanders.

Kinzinger also scoffed at President Obama’s assertion that any charges being brought against Hillary won’t be politically determined, Kinzinger said that everything Obama does is political.

Kinzinger: (Hillary indictment) If it happens before the Democrat convention they could literally pull Hillary Clinton out and throw in Joe Biden or John Kerry as the presidential nominee. I have a hard time thinking they’d put Bernie Sanders in. But you’d have a pretty upset base if they did that.

Rep. Kinzinger: Trump On The Ticket Would Cost GOP Seats In Congress

Rep. Adam Kinzinger(R-IL)

Rep. Adam Kinzinger(R-IL)

Speaking with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Monday Illinois RINO Rep. Adam Kinzinger, when asked about any possible negative impact of Donald Trump being the GOP presidential nominee down ballot said that Trump being on the GOP ticket would probably cost the GOP some seats in Congress because there would be an increased level of support for Hillary Clinton and that many of Trump’s Democrat crossover voters won’t continue voting Republican down ballot for Senate and the House.

Kinzinger: I think it would have a big impact for a couple reasons. Number one I think Donald Trump on the ticket would motivate Democrats to turn out and vote for their nominee, Hillary or Bernie, obviously they would vote for the Democrats down ballot. Secondly, if Donald Trump is in fact turning Democrats out(to vote for him) to the election, which I’m not sure if he is or isn’t, they would vote for Donald Trump and then vote for the Democrat for congressman. So this increased turnout, this motivation that would support Hillary I think would probably cost us some seats.

Ted Cruz: We’re Neck And Neck With Trump In Illinois, Trump Only Person On Planet Hillary Can Beat

Speaking at the Northwest Suburban GOP’s Lincoln day dinner Friday night in Rolling Meadows Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said that he and Donald Trump are neck and neck heading into the Illinois primary on Tuesday and that Trump is the only person on the planet that Hillary Clinton can beat.

Cruz:

Illinois is a battleground. Listen Illinois is used to being neglected by Republicans, I recognize that. Y’all have the burden of living under the despotic, messed up, left wing Democrat rule.  Which means the men and women here you’re hardy, you’re principled, and you’re fighters. But Illinois is a state that matters in this primary. Right now in the state of Illinois Donald Trump and I are effectively tied, we’re neck and neck…The media wants Trump because he’s the one person on the face of the planet Hillary Clinton can beat.

The Mega Powers

Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz

Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz

How can Ted Cruz and or Marco Rubio defeat Donald Trump?

Thursday’s debate in Texas gave us all a glimpse of what has to happen.

As Rush Limbaugh put it on his show Friday the tag team of Cruz and Rubio hammering away at Trump truly struck a nerve with him, and it has rattled him.

Cruz and Rubio have put aside their differences for the time being and have kept up the targeting of Trump since the debate with Rubio mocking Trump’s misspelled tweets and Cruz continuing to point out Trump’s liberal record.

As it has become abundantly clear since Iowa, and certainly South Carolina, conservatives are split between Cruz and Rubio rather evenly.

A long protracted 3 way dance between them and Trump doesn’t do anyone any good, it just runs out the clock and potentially puts things into a mess at the convention.

No the race needs to become radically different in its dynamics.

What if Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio agreed to do the unthinkable, what if they took their debate performances and turned it into a genuine tag teaming; a full-fledged combining of forces.

It would be like the immortal Hulk Hogan joining forcing with the “cream of the crop” Macho Man Randy Savage, the appropriately named Mega Powers.

Lets face facts Ted Cruz’s 25% and Marco Rubio’s 24% being combined is what it is going to take to overcome Trumps 40%, it is simple arithmetic.

Therefore Rubio should swallow his pride and realize that he hasn’t won any states and may very well not win any, and take the VP slot along side Cruz, who has, can, and will win additional states in the upcoming contests.

The uniting of the two factions of the conservative camp, plus those establishment Republicans who have come to Rubio after everyone else failed, and everyone else who cannot stand the debacle that the Donald Trump show has become is a force even his ego can’t over come.

Let Cruz and Rubio have their Wrestlemania V main event in 2020 after they’ve dispatched the wicked duo of Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Kinzinger: Cruz Or Trump Will Get Hillary Elected

Rep. Adam Kinzinger(R-IL)

Rep. Adam Kinzinger(R-IL)

During an interview with 1340 WjOL in Joliet Wednesday Illinois congressman Adam Kinzinger, who has jumped from backing Jeb Bush to Marco Rubio, said that he believed that Ted Cruz or Donald Trump getting the GOP nomination would result in Hillary Clinton winning in November.

Host Kevin Kollins asked Kinzinger, “Are you fearful if in fact it is a Ted Cruz or Donald Trump that the party could be split enough that we could see another four years of a Democrat in the White House, do you think it could be that severe if one of those two got the nomination?”

Kinzinger answered, “I absolutely do. My priority is to win and when you look at the polling for instance Donald Trump maybe ahead among Republicans voters in some areas but if you actually see the head to head whether its Rubio against Hillary or Trump against Hillary, Trump loses, Rubio wins handily. When you hear Donald Trump talk you’d think America’s best days are behind it.”
