When Republicans Lie About Their Support For Amnesty: Rep. Kinzinger Edition

Rep. Adam Kinzinger(R-IL)

Rep. Adam Kinzinger(R-IL)

During election season entrenched establishment politicians like, no love, to lie about their records and views on matters of national importance so that they can garner votes to return to Washington and continue aiding and abiding the status quo.

Take for instance Illinois Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger, one of the biggest supporters of amnesty in the House outside of fellow Illinois congressman Luis Gutierrez, who has resorted to lying about his stance on immigration and amnesty on his campaign website; this despite the fact that congressman Kinzinger faces absolutely no opponent on the November 8th ballot.

Kinzinger says on his website:

While I believe we must make reforms to our broken immigration system, we must first ensure that our borders are secure or we risk returning to the status quo. It is vital we update our antiquated immigration system to better suit the needs of a 21st century economy, but we must not reward those who have come here illegally. I will continue to work with my colleagues in Congress to ensure we develop immigration policies that secure and strengthen America and provide fairness to those who attempt to enter our country legally.

Congressman Kinzinger’s own amnesty supporting past says something very differently.

Earlier this year Kinzinger joined with a handful of other amnesty supporting Republicans and the majority of the Democrats to get a provision passed that paves the way for illegal immigrants to serve in the United States military. Kinzinger is a Major in the Air Guard and is an Iraq veteran.

When a previous attempt to let illegals into the military failed Kinzinger said during a radio interview:

I think this amendment to strip this frankly came from a very ugly place in our party that won’t even look at the idea of somebody that’s 3 or 4 years old when they were brought here, looking at the opportunity to say I want to earn an opportunity to be a citizen of the United States of America….There is nothing more Republican in my mind than people earning an opportunity to have a shot at the American dream.

If we as Republicans can’t get behind the idea of studying the merits of earning citizenship in this country by serving in the military than that frankly frightens me and I don’t know what we can stand for that is more Republican than that.

Before that on the issue of President Obama’s executive amnesties for certain, large, groups of illegal immigrants Kinzinger said stopping DACA, Obama’s first executive amnesty, sent “the wrong message to send for our party.”. In the months leading up to President Obama’s 2012 edict Kinzinger said that taking preemptive steps to stop President Obama from issuing any amnesty via executive order, “would have made our already broken immigration system more confusing and inefficient.”

Yeah how exactly was stopping a lawless President from committing an unconstitutional usurpation of the power of Congress going to make the illegal immigration problem worse?

As a Chamber of Commerce bankrolled member of Congress that is totally and completely loyal to GOPe leadership congressman Kinzinger should drop the pretend to be an immigration hawk act, it’s old and really transparent.

Just admit you are going back to Washington for another term to make sure illegal immigrants continue to get more benefits, continue to get to stay, that the border remains a political hot potato playing second fiddle to “comprehensive immigration reform”, and the Chamber of Commerce and other big corporations continue to have access to keep foreign labor, you’d at least be honest saying that.

Adam Kinzinger, Mark Kirk, Donald Trump You Are Unworthy Of My Vote Nov 8th

never-trump-copyPrinciples.

What is a principled conservative voter; living in Illinois, to do the 2nd Tuesday in November?

Do we settle the top socket, bottom socket debate by answering both?

Do we take a road trip to the Panama Canal?

Or do we break down like so many have and pull the voting lever for someone just because they say they have a R next to their name?

Our principles; the belief in limited government, major tax reform, fiscal responsibility, the full repeal of every word of Obamacare, deference to the Constitution, respect for the rule of law(i.e no amnesty), matter only if we stay true to them during the darkest of hours.

For politicians getting my vote requires that you have to share some of those same principles.

To use a pop culture analogy my vote is Mjolnir, if you want to lift me, aka get my vote, you have to be worthy.

If principles, if our convictions, are to be cast aside whimsically just to placate one candidate or group of them, then our vote goes from being iconic like Mjolnir to being a cheap disposable Power Rangers prop.

No there will be no axes that look like they came off the leg of a plastic table here.

My principles are strong, my faith in them unwavering.

While the Cult of Trump may have booed Ted Cruz when he said it voting my conscience means I’m going to have to do the following on November 8th.

When it comes to voting for the House of Representatives my principles, my consciences, my sense of who is worthy, clearly tells me that I cannot cast a vote for congressman Adam Kinzinger.  The man is a major backer of amnesty, an interventionist(and a reckless one at that), a yes man for the GOPe and Chamber of Commerce, and leading attack dog against the Tea Party and conservatives.

Now, this is Illinois, my options, for voting against this lying, backstabbing, weasel are limited.  Writing in a candidate, and having that vote counted, for statewide and federal offices is extremely difficult. There is no Democrat opponent on the ballot, not that I’d vote for them, nor is there any libertarian or third party candidate to pick from. So yet again, for the third general election cycle in a row, this conservative is going to be reduced to undervoting his congressional representation.

When it comes to the US Senate, lets just be honest Tammy Duckworth is a radical liberal who is going to win. Her opponent Sen. Mark Kirk, is a liberal Democrat who barely even bothers calling himself a Republican anymore. He backs amnesty, voted to keep Planned Parenthood funded, same for sanctuary cities, backs gun control, keeps saying yes to all of Obama’s bad appointments.

The Libertarian candidate Kenton McMillen, has no prayer of making any major impact in the Duckworth/Kirk race and is still a complete unknown around the state. However, absent another way for protesting this Democrat versus transitioning Democrat general election, I’ll be voting for him because conservative principles and Mark Kirk do not go together.

For Vice President of the United States I’ll be voting for the one conservative that will actually be on the ballot this year. The successful Governor of Indiana, Mike Pence.

For President of the United States, I will not be voting for his running mate.

As my good friend Joe Walsh said last week, Hillary Clinton is going to win Illinois no matter what.  This is a deep dark blue state and any Trump supporter who thinks he has a chance here has deluded themselves. Illinois’ 20 Electoral College votes can already be put into Hillary Clinton’s column.

I wish this election was playing out differently, with a different GOP candidate who could keep the fight on Hillary and the left day in and day out and not spend 4/5th’s of the week on defense over his own stupid comments and liberal policies.

I can’t vote for someone whose trade policies came right out of the book How the Great Depression Started. I can’t vote for someone whose first instinct is to say yes when his daughter wants to create a new federal government entitlement. I can’t vote for someone who wants to expand existing entitlements. I can’t vote for someone who believes that slanderous drivel of the National Enquirer as if it were true. I also can’t vote for someone who doesn’t understand that Vladimir Putin and the Russians are bad guys.

My first instinct is to write-in Giant Meteor for President, so we can just start over.

I’d like to write-in Ted Cruz, because he’s a true principled conservative that would make a great leader for this country.

I’d settle for writing-in Hulk Hogan. If we are going to make this a celebrity/pop culture election, why not at least do it with a red and yellow boa and cool patriotic theme music.

Unfortunately, that pesky Illinois doesn’t like to let, let alone count, write-in votes/candidates, is going to get in the way of me doing that so I’m left with voting for the fake Libertarian as my only option for saying no to a process that produced a candidate choice so horrible.

Adam Kinzinger, Mark Kirk, Donald Trump you are unworthy of my vote.

Of Ricketts And Madigan

Michael Madigan(Left) Ricketts Family(Right)

Michael Madigan(Left) Ricketts Family(Right)

For the last several weeks Conservative Review’s Robert Eno has been detailing the attempts by the Ricketts family, of TD Ameritrade and owner of the Chicago Cubs, to take out members of the House Freedom Caucus, such as their successful effort against Rep. Tim Huelskamp, and to defeat Republican challengers who either want to join the Freedom Caucus or are endorsed by it running in congressional races around the country by way of their Ending Spending Action Fund(ESA Fund) PAC.

No matter who the President is Congress needs to have as many conservatives and constitutionalist in the House of Representatives and Senate as possible.

It is bad enough that the Republican Party establishment and donor class have it out for conservatives, it is even worse when you find those same establishment figures having a cozy little deal with the Democrat who runs Illinois Michael Madigan.

The Speaker of the Illinois House since 1983(minus 2 years during the Gingrich revolution) Madigan has run this state like a tyrannical King.  It was Madigan, by way of his lawyers and his Judges, that recently kept a citizen driven state constitutional amendment ballot measure to take legislative redistricting power away from him off the November ballot. It has been those Madigan allies that have been keeping similar efforts to amend the Illinois Constitution to impose term limits on the legislature from ever going before the voters; Madigan has been in elected office since 1971. Reforming state government by way of redistricting and term limits have been two of the key agenda items of Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner. Madigan’s staunch opposition to those reforms and other elements of Rauner’s Turn Around Agenda, such a collective bargaining and other union related reforms, led the state to go a year without a budget.

By controlling redistricting Michael Madigan and the Democrat Party, of which he is state chairman, have been able to control who gets to represent the people of Illinois in Springfield and Washington DC.

Following the Tea Party wave of 2010, which even hit deep blue Illinois, Madigan used redistricting to oust Tea Party firebrand Joe Walsh and the mild-mannered Bobby Schilling from their congressional districts in order to make easy paths to victory for Democrat party darling Tammy Duckworth, and Cheri Bustos whose a close family friend of Sen. Dick Durbin’s. Madigan also used that same opportunity to pit longtime conservative congressman Don Manzullo up against one the GOPe’s young rising stars Adam Kinzinger, a race that Manzullo lost and conservatives the nation over have been lamenting ever since.  Controlling redistricting has also allowed Michael Madigan to build a veto-proof super majority in both chambers of the legislature.

As any Illinois resident can tell you Michael Madigan’s rule has been disastrous. Over $110 billion in pension debt. Sky high property taxes, which are just about to get even worse in the city of Chicago thanks to its bankrupt public school system. Massive outward migration of jobs and taxpayers to neighboring states. Out of control business costs(workers compensation), wayward regulations, we even are terrible when it comes to lawsuits and jury awards and the like.

And all the while Madigan has been ruining this great state, we did give to the nation Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, he has been apparently enjoying himself at the friendly confines of Wrigley Field padding the Chicago Cubs front office ticket sales, which in turn has been money at the disposal of the Ricketts family since they bought the team in 2009.

madigan season ticketsIllinois Board of Election campaign reports dating back to 1999(which is as far as state online records go) show that Michael Madigan used a combination of his campaign funds and the campaign funds of the Democrats 13th Ward organization, which Madigan has controlled since the late ’60s, to buy more than $1.25 million worth of season tickets to the Cubs, including playoff tickets. State records also show that Madigan, and Senate President John Cullerton(D-Chicago) were the only two elected officials buying season tickets. All other lawmakers buying Cubs, or any other team tickets, made single game or weekend package purchases, and all of them listed the purpose as being for fundraising; something Michael Madigan never did(only in the earliest years did the records even say season tickets).

Madigan’s spokesman Steve Brown indicated to me several days prior to the Democrat Party convention in July that the Speaker did use some of those tickets along with his family.  As of this writing he has yet to respond more fully to questions surrounding those and other season ticket purchases to the Chicago Bulls and White Sox made with campaign funds.

That could possibly be a legal issue for the all mighty ruler of Illinois given that it is supposed to be illegal to use campaign funds for personal use. But, given every law passed in this state for the last four decades has his fingers prints, if not outright stamp of approval, on them, maybe Madigan and Mr. Brown know something the rest of us don’t.  I haven’t yet heard from the states Attorney General’s office, something about Lisa(Madigan) going to a baseball game with her dad.

O’ the tangle webs we weave.

Michael Madigan rules Illinois with an iron fist while enjoying the fine team the Ricketts family is bankrolling as they look to end Chicago’s World Series curse and all the while both work behind the scenes to destroy conservatives.

Lovely.

Kinzinger: Ludicrous For Ted Cruz Not To Endorse Trump During Convention Speech

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Appearing on CNN Thursday Illinois RINO congressman Adam Kinzinger said that it was ludicrous for Ted Cruz not to endorse Donald Trump during his convention speech Wednesday night simply because he was invited to speak at the convention.

Kinzinger said:

If your invited to speak at the convention though you have to endorse him. I mean this is Donald Trump’s convention. He won the primary fair and square and I thin this was, I was blown away. I think it was ludicrous of Ted Cruz to do it and it’s obviously political posturing for whatever comes next.

That’s kinda rich coming from Donald Trump’s biggest critics, and someone who is still holding out endorsing Trump himself.

Hell Kinzinger spent the rest of the interview pointing out the fallacy of Trump’s comments to the New York Times that he wouldn’t help our NATO allies if they are attacked by Russia and his backing of the purge taking place in Turkey this past week following the failed coup d’etat to oust the Islamo-Fascist Erdogan.

Adam Kinzinger, has never been a fan on conservatives or the Tea Party despite claiming to be both to get elected in 2010, and is constantly aligning with the GOPe and House leadership to oppose the Freedom Caucus, and guys like Sen. Cruz and Sen. Rand Paul when they fight for freedom, liberty, limited government, and try to hold Republicans to their promises, like to repeal and defund Obamacare.

Ted Cruz, is a man of principles, a man of conservative convictions, and he did and said exactly the right things Wednesday.

To call him and his speech ludicrous, is well ludicrous.

Kinzinger: “Hands Down, Right Move” For Senate To Bring In More Muslim Immigrants

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

This week just before the Senate adjourned for a recess they voted 84-12 on an amendment to the annual National Defense Authorization Act that would grant virtually unlimited special visas to Afghanis as the NDAA heads to conference to hammer out differences between the Senate and Houses versions.

Illinois RINO congressman Adam Kinzinger tweeted over the weekend that the Senates vote was “Hands down, the right move.”

While helping to bring Afghani translators and interpreters into the US as a reward for having helped US and coalition forces battle the Taliban and Al Qaeda is perfectly fine, the problem is, as Daniel Horowitz pointed out several days ago at Conservative Review; some 3,000 visas for these Afghanis authorized under last years NDAA remain unissued.

So why would establishment Republicans and liberal Democrats get together to increase Muslim immigration to this country just weeks after the Orlando terrorist attack? Because they get to do what they both want, more immigration, period.

The Chamber of Commerce and liberal Democrats both got a small piece towards limitless immigration and open borders. That’s why Kinzinger and Sen. John McCain, whose tweet he was building off of, are happy; the amnesty backers got a small victory.

Meanwhile its guys like Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk, whom Kinzinger enthusiastically wants people to vote for in November, that are blocking the passage of Kate’s law and keeping sanctuary cities going.

Kinzinger: Joe Walsh’s Dallas Tweets Stirred The Pot

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

On Monday Illinois RINO congressman Adam Kinzinger was on 720 WGN with host Roe Conn talking about the Dallas sniper attack that left 5 police officers dead.

While talking about those on the left and members of Black Lives Matter not jumping to conclusions about police shootings without the facts Kinzinger went after former Illinois Tea Party congressman Joe Walsh over a series of tweets Walsh sent out last Thursday night and Friday morning about the Dallas shooting, President Obama, and Black Lives Matter.

Kinzinger said, “On the other side we have to be careful not to jump to..you saw the tweets of a former Representative from Illinois that was tweeting some things that were just stirring the pot even more so during the Dallas situation..”

Kinzinger joins the ranks of the likes of musician John Legend, and NBA player Jabari Park who have gone after Walsh, because you know living in this day and age telling the truth gets a lynch mob sent after you.

Kirk And Kinzinger Meet Trump In DC, And It Went As Badly As You Imagined

Donald Trump

Donald Trump

So Donald Trump was in meetings today with House and Senate Republicans at the RNC HQ in DC.

The meeting went as badly as you would expect given how many people in the GOP actively dislike Trump with a passion, and how many want to dump him at the convention for Ted Cruz.

Here’s how things went in the House meeting which included Trump’s biggest critic in the House our very own RINO Adam Kinzinger(from the Dekalb Daily Chronicle):

Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, an outspoken Trump critic, said there was a lack of energy in the room. “You could feel it,” he said.

“I’m not a Never Trump guy, I’ve said I want to get there. I’m a Republican and I want to support the nominee,” Kinzinger said after leaving the meeting early. “But things like the Saddam Hussein comment are not helping me get there,” Kinzinger added.

He was referring to Trump having praised the late Iraqi dictator’s terrorist-killing prowess. Trump defended himself over those comments Thursday, telling lawmakers it was an example of the media twisting his words, according to Rep. Kevin Cramer of North Dakota, a strong Trump supporter.

Things got a lot more testy between Trump and Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk during his meeting with Senate Republicans which Kirk skipped, as Trump called Kirk a “loser”(From Illinois Review):

Trump also called out Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) — who withdrew his endorsement of Trump last month, citing the business mogul’s racially based attacks on a federal judge — and said he did not approve of the senator’s action, the officials said.

Characterizing Kirk as a loser, Trump vowed that he would carry Illinois in the general election even though the state traditionally has been solidly Democratic in presidential contests. Kirk did not attend the meeting with Trump.

Asked later in the day about Trump’s comments, Kirk declined to comment other than to say: “I guess he lit me up.”

Later Kirk went farther and called Trump and privileged bully, from Quad Cities Times:

Republican Sen. Mark Kirk of Illinois says Donald Trump is an “Eastern, privileged, wealthy bully.”

Trump called Kirk, one of the more vulnerable GOP incumbents, a loser at the closed-door meeting with Senate Republicans on Capitol Hill on Thursday. Kirk did not attend meeting, but The Washington Post described the presidential candidate’s comments.

Asked about them later, Kirk told The Associated Press: “I’ve run for election six times in Illinois. Really tough races for the Congress and for the Senate and won every race. Otherwise I wouldn’t be here.”

On why Trump would say Kirk would lose: “I guess the bully side of him. We haven’t seen a personality like his too much in the Midwest. Eastern, privileged, wealthy bully. Our bullies are made of better stuff in Illinois. We’re much more practical and polite.”

“I think I’m not on the Christmas card list now,” added Kirk.

At this same meeting Trump also got into it with Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake. Eventually Trump said he wouldn’t help Flake in his reelection and wanted to see him defeated. One problem their smart guy John McCain’s running for reelection, not Flake. Although both do deserve to lose.

Yeah can we just go ahead and nominate Ted Cruz in Cleveland already and be done with this disaster of a candidate.

If I Was In Congress

House Floor

House Floor

If I was in Congress right now instead of Adam Kinzinger or Cheri Bustos, I wouldn’t be trying to pass legislation to regulate airplane seats, or sitting on the House floor pouting about not being able to deny Americans their due process and 2nd amendment rights.

No if I was in Congress right now I’d be filing articles of impeachment against Attorney General Loretta Lynch over her gross misconduct regarding the Clintons.

Speaking of articles of impeachment, such a bill would already be on record to remove Judge Posner from the Appellate court here in Illinois over his remarks recently telling lawyers, Judges, etc to ignore the Constitution, and American history; a clear violation of his oath of office.

With FBI director Comey laying out the evidence that Hillary Clinton violated multiple federal laws with her email set up and handling of classified information and then not recommending her indictment, I’d be getting ready to use my time at his upcoming House hearing to demand his immediate resignation.

After that I’d finish working with Adam Andrzejewski and Open The Books on legislation to curtail the ability to federal agencies to purchase weaponry, and prohibit some from having any at all. I mean what does a federal bureaucrat need with an amphibious assault carrier.

This weekend I’d be happy to be coming home, getting out of the DC swamp, and hold a couple of nice big old Joe Walsh style town hall meetings so me and them can chat about what governmental obstacle they need out of their way to prosper.

That’s what I’d be doing. Something you will never find Adam or Cheri doing.

No they’d rather be Snapchatting about gun control, or going on Fox and CNN constantly to get peppered with questions about Donald Trump.

IL Family Action Takes Issue With Kinzinger’s Bromance With Sen. Kirk

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Last week Illinois Family Action, part of the Illinois Family Institute, ran a piece from Laurie Higgins where they took issue with Illinois RINO congressman Adam Kinzinger’s bromance with Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk.

Kinzinger won’t back Trump, but does want everyone to support Kirk’s losing reelection bid.

Kinzinger says he agrees “100 percent” with Paul Ryan’s decision to be outspoken “when Trump says things that violate his conscience, violate our party,” and that speaking out is an honorable thing to do.

Kinzinger threatens that if Trump “wants to say that we can basically throw away [Republicans] that have dedicated a good part of their lives to bringing forward a Republican view, he’ll do that at his own peril.”

Kinzinger says that if the vote were held today, he would not vote for Trump.

Now, if only Kinzinger would take a principled and bold public stance like that on taradiddler U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Illinois) who has proven himself unworthy of any elected office, who has said things that violate the consciences of many Republicans, who has violated party principles, and who “has basically thrown away Republicans who have dedicated a good part of their lives to bringing forward a Republican view” of marriage and the intrinsic value of all human lives.

Rest here.

Adam Kinzinger Represents Boeing Not Illinois’ 16th District

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Rep. Adam Kinzinger

Monday Illinois congressman Adam Kinzinger was on 720 WGN with Roe Conn and the discussion turned towards Boeing’s multibillion dollar deal with the Islamo-Nazis of Iran to provide the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism commercial airplanes and parts.

Kinzinger was okay with Boeing’s deal with Iran, which happened thanks to Obama’s nuclear deal with them, because those billions going to Boeing was better than it going to Airbus.

How about nobody give the Islamo-Nazis any airplanes or spare parts.

Know what you can do with just a simple passenger plane?

September 11th, 2001 World Trade Center, Pentagon, and Flight 93 ring any bells.

How about Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Unlike Kinzinger fellow Illinois congressman Peter Roskam has been fighting hard to expose the Boeing-Iran deal and stop it, if by nothing else shaming Boeing out of the deal.

One of the things Roskam and other critics of the deal have been pointing out is the fact that Iran has been using its civilian aircraft to fly men, weapons, equipment, and munitions to Syria to help the Assad regime.

This deal with Boeing is going to help Iran continue to do that, as well as move its Revolutionary Guard, weapons, and possibly even nuclear contraband all over the world.  Iran is waging a proxy war in Yemen as we speak let us not forget.

We have laws on the books in the nation against aiding and providing material support to terrorism.

This Boeing deal should have been scraped at the drawing board but it is going through because guys like Kinzinger think, “Frankly if Boeing doesn’t sell these airplanes Airbus will. I don’t agree with the Iran deal. I wouldn’t have signed it. I think its bad, but it is what it is and now that you have economic viability, and I guess economic ability to sell stuff. It being $25 billion going to Boeing may be better than $25 billion going to Airbus.”

Now why would Adam Kinzinger be so fine and dandy with Boeing’s deal with Iran?

Might it have something to do with the fact that Boeing is one of the major companies that is bank rolling Kinzinger. According to Open Secrets Boeing has donated $25,500 to Kinzinger’s campaigns the last three cycles(12,14,16). Kinzinger has some $1.7 million in his campaign war chest which he hasn’t had to use at all this cycle as he faced no primary challenge and no Democrat has yet step forward to fight a losing effort in the Fall(the IL 16 is so heavy R no D has any chance no matter how awful Kinzinger is.)

Having an okay attitude towards the Iran plane deal hasn’t been the only thing to suggest that Boeing is more important to Adam Kinzinger that the people of his district.

Last year Kinzinger was a major supporter and defender of the Export-Import Bank. When conservatives in the House forced the New Deal era bank to temporarily close(you can thank IL Sen. Mark Kirk for its revival) Kinzinger was incredulous that anyone would oppose something that Open The Books found to be nothing but corporate welfare, and a taxpayer backed giveaway to Boeing, General Electric, and Caterpillar, who comprised a big chuck of the Ex-Im banks transactions.

And wouldn’t you know so far in 2016 GE has given Kinzinger $10,250, while Cat has given him $5,250.

The Export-Import Bank is bad, crony capitalist, government and the Iran-Boeing deal is just plain dangerous, and both need to be opposed by all members of Congress. But instead of representing We The People Adam Kinzinger represents Boeing and the Chamber of Commerce.
