Do your civic duty report illegal immigrants to ICE
So I was checking the website of my local newspaper seeing what's been going on in my neck of the prairie and I came across the story about Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn signing into law our states version of the DREAM Act, which for us gives illegal immigrants access to a scholarship program so they can attend colleges and universites in Illinois, no big surprise there our Democratic controlled legislature pass the bill some time ago with the help of some RINO's(Republicans in name only).
As I read farther into the story I can across this teachable moment.
"Tania Unzueta, a 27-year-old graduate student at the University of Illinois-Chicago was ecstatic about the new law.
“It’s been so frustrating to know undocumented young people who don’t graduate from high school because they don’t think they can go to college,” said Unzueta, an illegal immigrant.
Unzueta said she is lucky to have gone to college and on to graduate school, something that more people will now be able to do because of increased access to private scholarships under the law. But Unzueta, who has been in the United States since she was 10, said that still doesn’t solve the problem of what illegal immigrants do after college because they are not legally allowed to work in this country.
“I have one more year to graduate and I don’t know what I’m going to do next,” she said.
Unzueta said she wants a federal Dream Act passed to provide a route to legal status for college students and service members brought to the country as children. Illinois’ law has no impact on a person’s immigration status."
How is what Tania Unzueta said a teachable moment? well lets go back to our nations founding and Thomas Paine's Common Sense and this very relevant quote. "In America the law is KING"
Tania and every other illegal immigrant currently in this country violated our laws, we have rules regulating who and how a person from a foreign country can enter the United States, and by her own admission Tania broke those laws, the punishment for illegal's who break our immigration laws is deportation. So tomorrow morning I am going to do my civic duty and call Immigration and Custom Enforcement(ICE) at 1-866-347-2423 and report Tania Unzueta to the authorities in the hopes that they will do their job and remove her from the country. likely hood of them actually doing that slim to none but I will still do it and I encourage everyone reading this to do the same with Tania and every other illegal they find. Laws matter and law breakers deserve the consequences of their actions.
Personally I would prefer it if Tania and every other Illegal would voulantarily leave, but since she doesn't seem very likely to do that, our law enforcement will give her a helping kick in the butt as she and the other illegals who won't leave are deported.
