It is time to go to war with Somali pirates

It is with all due sadness that I must be the messenger of bad news 4 Americans taken hostage on Friday by Somali pirates have been killed.

To the families of those who have been murdered I offer my deepest sympathies and condolences.  As it states in the fox news story it appears that all the pirates involved in this heinous crime have been killed or captured.

While I may not be a politician, I am going to play one now on the internet because I am one pissed off American citizen who is outraged at this tragic series of events.  For far to long now the pirates who operate out of Somalia have attacked personal and merchant ships form dozens of nations killing, kidnapping, and holding for ransom the people, ships and cargo that they have hijacked in international waters.  This terrorism on the high seas MUST come to an end TODAY.  Make no mistake about it with the deaths of Scott and Jean Adams, Phyllis Mackay and Bob Riggle nothing less than a STATE OF WAR has and does now exist between the United States and all the pirates who operate out of Somalia.

I may not be the actual commander-in-chief but if I were, I would order the submarines of the United States Navy to torpedo any pirate vessel that leaves the shore line of Somalia.  Make no mistake about it if any pirate gets more than ankle deep into the waters, that pirate should never return to the lands of Somalia for he has either been killed or has been captured and placed within a cage not likely to ever again see the light of day.  Our nations 3rd President Thomas Jefferson went to war and sent in the Marines against the pirates of the Barbary coast.  So to now must we use the full force of our Navy, Air Force, Navy SEALs, and Marines to forever make the waters off the coast of Africa again safe for all ships private and merchant.  These pirates have attacked the ships and peoples of Great Britain, South Korea and many more and their assistance in defeating the pirate threat is welcomed.

As it stands some 30 ships and 660 people are currently being held by Somali pirates, those pirates hold those hostages have minutes not days or hours to release every person and ship they are holding unharmed.  Furthermore all pirates in Somalia have the same amount of time(minutes) to fully and completely lay down all their arms.  Failure to do so will result in the United States Marine Corps coming ashore and kicking their asses, no ifs, ands or buts about it.

There will be no negotiations, there will be no compromise, there is no room to wiggle the Somali pirates are going out of business, period.
