Take two liberal letters to the editor add in truth and turn blender on

Two letters to the editor published in the Rockford Register Star(GOP Twisted Thinking on Spending, Weak Case for Tax Breaks) highlight the common progressive liberal socialist Marxist Democrat thought on economics right now.

I'm going to take these two letters and the points and assertions they make and make mince meat out of them with the greatest ally any conservative can have when dealing with leftist bologna, the truth.

The two letters have a pair of similar threads in that tax cuts, namely President Bush's, did not create jobs and that by keeping current tax rates as they are a cost is incurred by the government that adds $700 Billion to the debt.

Facts and reality are stubborn things.  According to data form usdebtclock.org, one month before President Bush took office the US workforce was 135.8 million,  one month before his Presidency ended the US workforce stood at 143 million, for an increase of 7.2 million in non-farm employment over the net of the Bush years.  Noel Sheppard of News Busters has data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics putting the Bush job increase numbers at 1.3 to 4.4 million.(BIll Press falsely claims Obama created more jobs in 20 months than Bush did in eight years )  Then of course there is this bit of trivia, President George W. Bush holds the record for most months of consecutive jobs created.(CBS news: U.S. Economy Suffers Another Body Blow Employers Cut 17,000 Jobs In January - First Such Reduction In More Than 4 Years(Feb 1, 2008) ) So clearly, jobs were created over those dreaded Bush years.

Now when it comes to keeping tax rates the same, how is it that by extending for every taxpayer, including those who make over $200k, the same tax rate as they have since 2001 and 2003, $700 Billion is added to the debt/deficit?  Truth is, keeping tax rates as they have been adds zero to the debt or deficit.  Rush Limbaugh had a good way of explaining that point to people using fuel.  If you drove the same distance in a month and had the same salary, would gas prices staying the same for a month result in you spending more? No, and that same principle applies to taxes.(Baseline Budgeting and the "Cost" of These Non-Existent "Tax Cuts" December 9, 2010 )

In (GOP Twisted) the notion was propagated that unemployment benefits, and there by extending them, are an economic stimulus.  What hogwash.  Taking money from someone who is working and giving it to someone who is not, is not economic stimulus, it is redistribution of wealth.  What incentive would ""Roger" have to get and keep himself employed if he could get 99 weeks(plus another 13 months) worth of pay from the taxpayers?  Answer, none.(Unemployment benefits aren't stimulus-Art Laffer)

Another point brought up in (GOP Twisted) is the jobs created under the higher tax rates of President Clinton.  Bill Clinton is the recipient of some good fortune, not only did Reagan's tax cuts spur so much economic growth that it continued for a generation, but Reagan also deregulated telecommunications which paved the way for the rapid growth that sector experienced.  Not to mention the explosion in the internet, dot coms, personal computers, and consumer electronics.  President Clinton got to enjoy some good times over the '90s with the end of the cold war(Reagan "Tear down this wall" ), and GOP welfare reform(Major Provisions of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 ), and spending changes(Gingrich: How We Balanced Four Consecutive Budgets ) on top of those prior items, but none of it was his outright doing or was a consequence of high taxes.  Indeed history shows that it is tax cuts that lead to economic growth(The Historical Lessons of Lower Tax Rates).  Bill Clinton if anything was a text book example of being in the right place at the right time.

As is a regular occurrence Kim MacCloskey has a problem with the Tea Party Movement.(GOP Twisted, Questions for Tea PartyAct of Terrorism won't quite this voiceEnd times? End of reason ).  I ask you to attend any Tea Party meeting and see for yourself if any Billionaires are running the show.

The next meeting of the Rockford Tea Party is January 11,2011 5:30 p.m at the Rockford Public Library Downtown facility.(Rockford Tea Party meeting on facebook )

We can have a vibrant growing economy as opposed to this seemingly never ending recession/depression/malaise if we would cut taxes, produced more energy domestically, stopped spending, seriously reformed entitlement programs, and took a track towards solving the mostly monetary issues surrounding healthcare instead of using the topic to advance Statism.(Reagan speaks out against socialized medicine )

Want to create some of the tens of millions of jobs necessary to not only bring down the unemployment rate(9.8%) and to increase government revenue, by having more tax payers?  Then lets talk about all of the jobs that can be created by making this nation energy independent.  There are 1.5 trillion barrels worth of oil shale in Colorado(Oil shale reserves ), there is a massive oil reserve in North Dakota/Montana(Oil industry booms-In North Dakota ), there are all kinds of energy resources in the state of Alaska, there is all kinds of energy to be had on-shore and off.  Did you know that the United States has been called the Saudi Arabia of Coal?(Why coal-rich US is seeing record imports )  All of those potential construction, operation, manufacturing, and transportation jobs just waiting to be realized.  Speaking of realized just think of the revenue that could be generated from harnessing our oil, coal, natural gas and nuclear energy options.(Who gets rich off $3 gas )

Want to put money in peoples hands so that they can spend, save, invest or give it to charity and thus stimulate the economy.  Then allow the American people to keep more of what they earn by wiping out the current tax code and replacing it with either the Flat Tax(A Brief Guide to the Flat Tax) or the Fair Tax(ABOUT THE FAIR TAX)

Want to tackle the debt($13.8 Trillion) and deficit($1.3 Trillion) then stop spending(CNBC's Rick Santelli's Chicago Tea Party ).  The Heritage Foundation, Cato Institute, Conservative Action Project and National Taxpayers union all have recommendations on ways to cut and save(Liberal Group Joins Conservative Group in Calling for $600 Billion in Federal Spending Cuts .  Congressional Republicans also have the youcut website for you to use(YouCut).

No cuts or savings mean much so long as the Social Security ponzi scheme(US Social Security: An Unsustainable National Ponzi Scheme), Medicare($77 Trillion unfunded liability) and Medicaid are not reformed.  Congressman Paul Ryan(R-Wisconsin) has some ideas for entitlement reform in his Roadmap, The Debt Commission had some thoughts on the issue of solvency for entitlement programs(Debt commission recommendations ), Texas Governor Rick Perry has something to say about fixing Medicaid(Gov. Perry's reform ideas ), And for historical note here is President Bush's thoughts on Social Security reform(Bush's plan for Social Security ).

Want business and free enterprise to prosper then get government off the back of our economic engines.  Mark Steyn, brought up a great illustration of governments interference in the economy, 10% of Gross Domestic Product goes towards compliance with government regulations(The Business Case For Trust ).  That is $1.4 Trillion according to my calculator.  $1.4 Trillion that our economy could be finding an optimal use for, but isn't because it has to be swallowed up by Big Government(note prior linked article put the tap at $1.1 Trillion).(Recommended reading Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith, Free to Choose by Milton Friedman)

At this point in time I want you to place the palm of your hand right in front of your mouth and exhale.  What your hand just did was to be inundated with something progressive liberal socialist Marxist Democrats want to control and regulate, CO2.  Carbon Dioxide is key to life on this planet, it is one of the "green house" atmospheric gases that traps the warmth from sunlight keeping the surface warm.  CO2 is a by-product of living organisms that is used by plants in the photosynthesis process to create Oxygen, which the rest of life forms on this planet require to live.

The believers in man made climate change/global warming hoax(ClimateGate: The Fix is In , want you to regard something you yourself are exhaling at this very moment as a pollutant(EPA's carbon dioxide emissions ruling could raise energy costs .  I want you to try and imagine this nation, this society, our way of life, without half of its electrical energy, because that is how much electricity we generate from coal fired power plants(Joe Biden on coal .  I want you to go through your bills and check your bank account balance, and see if you have the money to cover the increase in energy cap and trade legislation would cause(Cap And Trade Could Cost Families $1,761 A Year .

It strikes me as humorous in its irony, each time the global warmers hold a conference, the resort destination they flock to has a corresponding snap of record cold temperatures.(The unusually chilly global-warming summit

Now, if progressive liberal socialist Marxist Democrats, were serious about CO2 and the climate, they themselves would be joining Amish communities by the droves, wouldn't they?

If you want to save everybody some money, then properly reform healthcare.  Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid(D-Nevada) on the Senate floor placed the savings to the American People from Tort reform at $54 Billion(Reid dismisses $54 billion in tort-reform savings ).  Tort reform along with expanded health savings accounts, allowing people to shop across state lines, portability, ale carte/pick and choose coverage, fewer state mandates among other conservative ideas on improving healthcare insurance are what the people need, not a dictate from Washington that we MUST purchase a thing(Virginia Obamacare suit ruling ), not $500 Billion being pulled from a preexisting troubled entitlement program, not over $2 Trillion to not really do anything to make the sick well, the injured healed or anything else for that matter, except make government bigger.(Paul Ryan v. the President The Republican dissects ObamaCare's real costs. Democrats stay mute )

Consider this taking apart of leftist gobbledygook and advancement of conservative solutions concluded at this time.
